Here's my story! I love how it turned out.... Sorry its so long!


Love-Tinted Glass (Female, Love for short)


Blood Rush (Male, Rush for short)

It was one of those days. The bad days. It was late at night, and Love-Tinted Glass was sitting under her favorite tree, a large weeping willow. She was always under that tree when she was lonely, which happened quite often. Love was just your average 8th grade girl: she was semi-popular, average beauty, pretty good grades, and the like. Except for one thing. When she was born, her coat had been pure white. It had stayed like that up until her 7th grade year. It was after her very first kiss when it started. It didn't affect anything else, but for her friends, it was a strange thing to witness.

On this particular night under the tree, she was enjoying the stars. Every night, she made a wish on a star. Ever night, it was the same wish. Please, she would say to the sky, Please, let Rush notice me, just once.

Ever since her previous boyfriend had broke up with her, she had been crushing on Blood Rush, the oddity of the school. He was sweet, funny, and cute, and yet, he had never spoken to her. Not yet, at least. She finished her wish, and laid down on the cool grass. Without thinking, she started to sing. It was her favorite song, she knew every word.

"We took a back road.
We're gonna look at the stars.
We took a back road in my car.
Down to the ocean,
it’s only water and sand
And in the ocean we'll hold hands."

She stopped suddenly, hearing a sound above her. Then, CRACK. A branch snapped, and a heavy object landed next to her. She tried to leap up and run away, but it was on her paw. She kept quite, but she was frightened. Suddenly, the shape moved, and spoke.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry a way just passing through and I didn't mean to-"

She got a good look at the person, and slowly was recognizing its coat..... It was Rush, laying next to her.

"Oh, gosh!" Her eyes widened. "You... your.... What are you doing in my tree?!?!" She wasn't mad, but ever for her, it was quite a odd thing to happen.

He looked at the ground. "Well.... It's a long story. You don't want to hear it."

"Of course I want to hear it! Now come on, sit down and tell me."

"No way."

"Come on, you owe it to me. You just fell onto me for no apparent reason out of my tree. If you don't tell me, I'll assume you were spying, and I'll tell my parents." She felt mean, saying that, but she truly wanted to know why he was here.

He sighed. "Well.... All right." He sat next to her, leaning on the tree, and turned to face her. "To make it simple, I was heading to the park. My parents were fighting again tonight, and I normally sneak out my bedroom window to get away from it all. I don't usually come this way, but I heard your singing...." He trailed off, seeing the look on her face. She was awe-struck

"Your really good, Love. I swear, for a second when I first heard you, I thought someone was playing the radio or something...." He smiled.

Loved was stunned. Nobody had ever said anything about her singing before..... "T-thank you...." she stammered, still taking it all in. "You really like my singing?"

His smile widened. "Of course I do. Why would I lie to a beautiful girl like you?" He placed his paw on her's, and she looked away and blushed.

"Your too kind.... But why so friendly all of the sudden?"

Now it was his turn to blush. "I was nervous.... I've liked you for quite a while, but I know I'm terrible at talking to girls, so I stayed away." His smile returned. "I'm glad I finally did talk to you."

She giggled nervously. "Your quite the charmer!"

He blushed again, and turned to look at the stars. "It's quite a beautiful night."

She smiled. "It sure is."

They were silent for a while, and then Rush turned back to Love. "Well, I better go.... Before I leave, I have a question." He looked incredibly nervous. "W-would you go to the dance with me?"

Love giggled nervously. "Of course I would!"

Rush laughed in relief. "Well then, I will be on my way... I'll see you tomorrow." He smiled, then turned and flew away. Love sighed, and flew back up to her bedroom window to get some sleep.

After the dance, Rush visited Love every night that his parents fought. Their relationship grew stronger, and they started going out a few days after the dance. Their first kiss was a month later, and from then on, they were inseparable. 8 years later, Rush proposed, and they got married a few months later.
