Sometimes I think "What will make my characters' lives the most miserable..?" and go with whatever pops into my head (Read my most recent post of my Tree for an example of that). Or maybe if you hear something in the news or read something in a book or magazine or whatever that you think is interesting, you could play with that.

I get my ideas from books/tv/movies/real life experiences. I'm dealing with plenty of time travel stuff, and that was inspired by Back to the Future (1 and 2) and Doctor Who. Plus, you guys (all you diary writers) help me think of stuff when I see your comments or I read your diaries. But sometimes inspiration cones at random like when I see a cool looking pet and I really want to stick it into my story.

The main character is a son to a god.

He has a Satyr as a friend, named - - - - - - ( Use the amount of lines to help you )
