This cat is one of the oddest creatures you've ever seen. His head is wide and flat, his nose pushed up almost too far for him to breathe. He has big, expressive eyes that are a deeper blue than the eyes of a kit, and spaced far enough for you to worry about whether or not he can even see. His body is an extremely pale gold, but his face, legs, tail and ears are darker, like Cleo's. And everything about him is stunted - he's barely your height, his tail and legs are fairly short, and something about him smells strange... almost as if he's still young. But he's clearly an adult. Odd.

"I'm Dandelion," he says brightly.

"Fitting," you say, glancing over his half-fluffy coat.

"Your name is Hopper?" he says. Something about how he speaks is strange, like his mouth takes a minute to form the words in his brain.

"Yes, I guess so," you say.

"I like that name." He nods. "Hopper's a nice name."

"Thanks, I guess...?"

"Hopper. Hopper, Hopper. Fun to say, huh?"

"Uh..."

"Don't mind him, kid," Gabber says from ahead of you. "That's just Dandy being Dandy. He's a little slow."

"Someone dropped him when he was little," Card says. He cranes his neck backwards to give Dandelion a grin. "Ain't that right, buddy? Did'ja get dropped?"

"I guess so!" Dandelion beams, oblivious to the amused faces behind him.

"That's how he got the nose," Gabber whispers.

"Leave him be, fellas," Blitzkrieg says lazily from the front.

"We're just talkin', Blitz," Card says. "Gotta warn the kid, don't we?"

"Alright," Blitzkrieg says. "But play nice."

"Oh, he knows we don't mean anything by it, right, buddy?"

"Yeah..." Dandelion nods, mumbling "yeah" to himself a few more times.

"You'll like him, Hopper," Gabber says. "He's good company."
