"Sorry, are we intruding?" you say politely. "We can go."

"Don't you worry yourselves about that," the molly says kindly. "Guests are always welcome. Come along."

She nods her head and turns back into the vines, motioning for you to follow her. The three of you walk close together.

Charisma +1.

"Where are you little ones off to?" the molly says, weaving through the leaves and thin branches like a snake.

"How'd you know we're traveling?" you ask, trying to follow the path she's making.

"You don't smell like any of the cats around these parts." She ducks under a branch and stops. "Here we are."

You step past her into a big space, where the vines have created a sort of roof. You can see that they've been chewed and broken here and there to keep this den wide enough for five cats. The roof is just thick enough that you can't see the sky, but with enough space to potentially let light in.

Scat lets out a rather loud purr and settles himself across the way, stretching luxuriantly. Thimble keeps close to you, carefully watching the big molly.

"Ah, I did rush you here without much warning, didn't I?" The brown tabby sits down to your right. Her white stomach is the only thing reflecting any light. "What are your names?"

"My name is Asterpaw," you say. "These two are Thimble and Scat."

The molly tuts and shakes her head. "That was the wrong answer, little one."

"Whuh-"

"You should never give away your real names if you can help it," the molly says. "Especially with a name like that. If you anger someone powerful, they can track you down, and potentially find your family based on that name."

"Well, I mean..." You glance at your stump. "It wouldn't exactly be hard to find me anyways."

"You'd be surprised." The molly's mouth twitches with a dark humor. "But, since you were honest, I might as well tell you my name. I am Mouse."

"Mouse," you repeat, staring at her giant form. "Uh, interesting choice."

Mouse laughs. "Everyone says that."

She glances over at Thimble, who doesn't really seem present. "You must have just gone through some troubles, I gather."

"We did," you admit. "We had to deal with a dead cat today."

"First time?"

"For them, yes."

Scat lifts his head and stares at you before curling up again.

"Well, for her," you amend.

"Poor thing." Mouse sighs. "Well, perhaps we can distract ourselves. Where are you headed?"
