"Fine, fine," you say, dismissively waving your tail. "Outta the way, let's watch a pro handle this."

"Be my guest," Thimble says snarkily. She exaggeratedly steps aside and bows.

You pass her and casually glance around for a frog. You spot one croaking by the shore - by its expression, it can see you, but it hopes you can't see it. You stroll past it, and just as it flinches, your paw strikes down sideways and pins it. You grab it deftly and turn around, presenting your catch.

"Well, whatever!" Thimble says. "Don't grin like that."

Scat's eyes widen and he tilts his head.

You drop the frog into the water and watch it swim away. "See, frogs are fast, but they're easy to pin down. All they can do is hop around and croak once you have them cornered."

"You didn't even catch a big one," Thimble grumbles.

"To be fair, frogs are disgusting," you say. "You couldn't pay me to eat one again."

"Then why were you telling us-"

You hear a yowl.

You look around, quickly joining Thimble and Scat in a cluster. The call is joined by another, and another, until the area rings with voices. The yowls become screeches.

"Groupofcats," Scat says, ears twitching. "Twogroups."

"How many?" you ask.

"Tooloud. Can'ttell."

"What do we do?" Thimble whispers.
