there are always going to be people who don't understand, who don't get what it is you're going through. you've been told that you have no reason to be depressed; anxious; scared. you've been accused of doing things that you would have never even thought of doing. your parents expect you to be perfectly okay at school, to not be an anxious mess of a young woman. your parents throw you in a school you aren't comfortable at. they force you into classes that you know wouldn't get you anywhere. the misunderstand you. everyone does. even your closest friends. the people you thought you could trust most.

they don't understand; they don't get the fact that you're fighting your own mind. they don't understand. they never have. the people you think are your friends are always telling you to get over it. that you have nothing you need to be sad about. to be anxious about. that you have nothing to be scared about. you may not have gone through everything the two of them have, but they aren't you. you're more sensitive than they are. you tear yourself down more than they do themselves. even one of your "friends" tears you down with the hurtful words that she says to you. maybe if you weren't so sensitive, and let loose a little, things like this wouldn't send you spiraling into a pit of self hate. but you can't help it when they call you out of your flaws. your personality flaws. your physical flaws. she makes you feel bad about yourself. she pulls you down after someone finally manages to pull you up. it's like she wants you to be laying in a pit of lava crying yourself to sleep.

she may have everyone else wrapped around her finger, but you aren't one of them. you never have been. you don't obey her barked orders. you do what you feel is best. don't let her think she's got a hold on you. like she has a right to pull you down like she has been. cover it up. block it all off, don't let her see the pain in your eyes, even if what she said hurt you to no other. don't let her see your true emotions. if she does, no one knows what she could do next. she's not going to help you through anything. she never will and you know she wont. don't let her see the hurt- the pain she causes you. you'll get through it. you'll pull the courage through to finally walk away from her and her hurtful words. you'll figure it out.

and whatever you do, don't cry. if you cry, you're giving into her. you're giving her the power that she's looking for. the authority she's striving to get. you can't let her have that power, you can't let her win this never ending battle. you need to keep yourself guarded around her. shut your emotions off if you have to. don't let her know that you feel something when she calls out your flaws. don't give into her. don't show her your weaknesses, don't show her your kryptonite, or she may just use it against you to finally gain power over you. you can shut yourself off. you can keep your emotions hidden from her. i know you can. don't let them open up towards her. you know what the consequences would be.

don't. give. in.

you're strong. you know you can do this. just don't let her think she's won.

don't let anyone think they've won against you. don't let them think that they have control over you. if you do that, then you're going to be even more hurt than you've ever been in your life.

i'm going to say this again, and i'm going to continue to say this to you until they stop hurting you. until they learn that hurting people isn't a good way to gain superiority.

don't let them win.

don't give into them.

don't show your weaknesses.

high school is like a battlefield, and i know that you can get through it. you definitely can't let them pull themselves over you.
