although shiloh and kaeru couldn't have disliked each other more initially, they're
now the best of friends. it took shiloh a while to warm up to the frog, but found
it impossible to resist his charm in the end. they'll often talk about their lives to
each other, as it's not often that they get to see each other. they'll often waste
the days with shiloh telling kaeru fable-like stories of his past and doing magic,
much to kaeru's delight. kaeru will often tell shiloh about his days spent guarding.

apollyon and kaeru don't know each other very well, and kaeru probably wouldn't
consider the kal a friend. however, they do share the same line of work - watching
over royalty. because of this commonality, it's not rare that they have a chance
encounter, and talking is certainly less awkward than ignoring each other. often,
they'll vent to each other since they can both completely relate to the struggles
and pressures of their jobs.

ＫＩＮＧＤＯＭ

the kingdom is nestled deep in the heart of a valley. towering on every side are perilous and ominous mountains, which not only helps to prevent criminals from escaping but also to dissuade or even hide the kingdom from outside threat. the valley where the kingdom lies has an incredibly nice climate - humidity levels tend to be low, rain tends to drizzle quite often, and wildflowers and grasses grow high and luscious. there are also many trees edging the kingdom, but unfortunately this and the almost constant light rain means that there is often a lack of bright sunlight. as a result, the kingdom is usually rather chilly and residents curl up under blankets happily. the lowest peasant class has the most in numbers of kalons, the royal class has the secondmost, and the somewhat in-between middle class has the lowest number. the castle is old and grand, and the slums are as to be expected. however, produce is fresh and the leaders of the royal class dominate fairly, care for the peasants, and associate with the common kals.

ＲＯＬＥ ＭＯＤＥＬ
although asuka has never met queen adara von berkshire, she can't help but
admire the older kalon. queen adara is both responsible and beautiful, and has
always been a figure that asuka has looked up to on her own journey of one day
hopefully becoming queen. her skills in combat and battle, as well as how to rule
a nation, were nothing less than inspiring for young asuka, and even now she
continues being in awe and inspired, taking all kinds of tips and tricks when she
can. one day, she hopes to muster up the courage to contact queen adara and
ask if she would be willing to meet for a chat.

If asuka had to choose one model of whom not to follow, it would certainly be
queen vanessa. this queen is almost the complete opposite of asuka's role model,
and she can't help but shudder every time they need to meet with her to discuss
business in trade. the kingdom under vanessa always seems to be at war, and
asuka always sticks closer to kaeru when vanessa is near.

although asuka has never met the queen she has so admired, she clearly
remembers all the times getting to meet princess aiko when the two were
younger. while their parents met to discuss all the matters young princesses
were not a part of, asuka and aiko would run off to talk among themselves.
aiko was the one who taught asuka how to braid her hair, and in turn asuka
told aiko all about her adventures outside of a castle. asuka trusts aiko, and is
pleased in turn to listen to her friend's own problems. even though the two are
now grown, asuka still likes to send letters and see how her friend is doing.
one day soon, she hopes to go visit and meet aiko's mate and kits.
