you were ecstatic. this new power was amazing! you gave a joyous goodbye
to karma and ran off towards the grass. In the grass, you found a small
handgun. there were a few ammo boxes, filled with amounts of shells
and medpacs. although you were still quite bad at using these flames,
you had practiced using it on nearby trees and mushrooms. the wind
power, however, was much easier to control. you could pick up a small
stone with the weak wind, but so far you couldn’t really knock down
the small green shroom entities, but you could do a good 2 or 3 damage.
after about the fifteenth ammo box, you were starting to get confused.
(think!) you stopped in your tracks. the flame charm turned blue as chills
rolled down your spine. the only reason a game ever gives you extra ammo
is for a boss battle. now, at this point in the game, you haven't died.
the only spawned enemies were quite easy, and they were all shrooms. how
do you know that death in this.. game wasn't permanent? you need to be careful.
you had remembered seeing a large yellow hornet, but you ran out of there real
quick. as if thinking about the hornet summoned it, buzzing grew in your ears.
the transparent wings of the hornet appeared in front of your face. the yellow
body, brilliantly clad with black stripes and a hard exoskeleton, stood ready
for battle. the kaleidoscope eyes reflected your horrified face. you fumbled
for your katana. the hornet turned around quickly, abdomen extended. the sharp
stinger slashed your chest, and you yelped in pain. you grabbed the katana and
slashed the disgusting bug with a precisely aimed strike. the bug made a frantic
squeak, and fell to the ground. the large legs twitched, making you take a step
back in disgust. if this is what the mobs are like, imagine the boss level! you
inhaled deeply, and set off at a brisk pace, a determined grimace set to your face.
