"Do you have any pets, Krystal?"
Krystal Aria Lovell wrote:"Why, yes, I do! They're names are Momo and Coco and I love them both very much. My parents were able to get me these two insects for my birthday, which was on December 1st. Momo is a male blue morpho butterfly while Coco is a female oak silk moth.
While the two might not seem like much, I consider them to be close friends. I know I can't pet them, but they allow me to hold them, and oddly enough, they've never tried to escape even though they easily could if I accidentally left the window opened. When I was young and struggling with my parents, they were the only beings that helped me calm down. Their light touch is calming when they perch upon my hand, hair, shoulder, or arm. They also remind me that the outside world exists; that part of this planet is still untouched by our fingers. I hope that one day I'm able to go out and see such a thing like that for myself instead of being stuck up here, behind the castle's walls. Even a small glimpse will do...
Sadly, my parents are too fearful of the unknown. They think that my life will end up to be like one of those tragic fairy tales if they gave me too much freedom. They won't let me have a say, even though I can protect myself. While I appreciate them getting me these two insects, it doesn't satisfy my need to see the rest of the world. I want to experience more of it with my own two eyes."

"So... What do you even do in your spare time? Besides writing letters..?"
Krystal Aria Lovell wrote:"Honestly, not much. My usual schedule goes like this:
I wake up fairly early, around 5 or 6 depending on what I have planned for that day. I get dressed in one of my few formal outfits after eating a freshly prepared meal by the cooks below me. I report to the throne room with my parents waiting there at around 7 in the morning; this is when they give me my duties for the day. My duties can range from greeting visitors and replying to messages to getting to know the castle's staff. I focus most of my time on completing those duties, trying to thoroughly do a great job at it. That way, my parents won't mindlessly scold me. I must eat precisely at 9:30 a.m. for brunch, 1:00 p.m. for lunch, 4:30 p.m. for tea time, and then again at 9:00 p.m. for dinner. I retire for the night time at 10.
Whenever I get the chance for some down time, which I can honestly never expect, I might head out to explore. Some days, I go to the library to read fairy tales or to take a sneak peek at spell books. Other days, I will visit the castle's guards to listen to their tales and to interact with their gentle, giant horses. When I barely have time for a break, sometimes I'll just wander about the garden to hopefully free up my mind for a while.
I can definitely say it's not exciting. I wished I could exit the castle daily to visit the shops in our town. I would love to be able to purchase freshly cut flowers to give to my caregivers as thanks. Maybe even to make friends..."

"Do you have any friends?"
Krystal Aria Lovell wrote:"Mmm... Somewhat. Momo and Coco are definitely the closest beings that I know. I'm friendly with all my caregivers and I try to interact with the guards as much as possible. Although, there is one specific guard that I absolutely adore. I think that we're actually more than just acquaintances now, but I'm still quite unsure. My parents probably wouldn't allow such a thing anyways...

His, uhm, name is Loam, and he's been directed to protect me with his life. We're not allowed to interact that much, but I do try my best to spend time with him. We can't really talk all that much either, but even still, whenever I'm around him I'm at my happiest regardless if he can talk or not. He is a sweet and loyal man; I'm certain if you were to run into him, you would absolutely agree. But... then again, a majority of those that go up to him don't really enjoy his presence. They always claim that, due to his lack of ability to talk, they cannot like him at all. I call absolute shenanigans to that; you don't need to be able to speak to communicate with others. To me, silence is a thing of beauty; it can be louder than any forceful shout when done at the right time.
Ahem, pardon me; it's just the thought of people not liking Loam due to his differences makes me upset. I must admit though, I didn't like Loam at first either. Not because of his silence or strength, of course, but because my parents didn't trust that I could protect myself. I unfairly took my anger towards my parents out on him for a little while. Looking back at all of it now, I feel terrible.
I'm glad that I finally accepted Loam as a friend, though. I soon came to a realization that, if we were to work together, nothing bad could happen to us; we are a strong and powerful duo. Plus, I learned that we have all sorts of similar interests. We both love dragons, reading, silence, and exploration. And, when I began to give him a chance, I soon learned his personality and I grew to love it. Most guards, and suitors for that matter, were always irresponsible and brash; they only wanted the title, praise, and riches that came along with being close to me or my family. Loam, on the other hand, is more focused on me and actually making sure that I'm safe. I know that he doesn't care about the money or the fame by the way he treats me.

When we're together, it feels as if we are one. Whenever I look into his eyes, I know fate destined us to be together and I'm thankful for that."

"How is it like living like this?"
Krystal Aria Lovell wrote:"If I could choose my life, I would choose to live freely outside of these castle walls. I am grateful that I don't have to worry about starving or freezing, of course. Living like this and having the status of princess does has its benefits and I won't deny that. It's just... is it greedy to want to be able to do something that ordinary people can do on a regular basis?
It would be nice to be able to freely fall in love with whoever I choose to instead of being hounded down by admirers who only want money and status. I also want to be able to travel across this world and meet new people. I don't want to be babied or treated as if I can't do certain things because of my status. I want to learn how to cook, how to ride a horse, how to fish, and much, much more. There are so many things that my parents restrict me from doing since they fear that I might harm myself or get myself cursed like a typical princess in a legend. I don't care if it's a big risk for me to live life like that; at least I'm actually living if I were to do all that.
Being here is boring and restricting. I feel like each and every day is just passing me by simply and quickly. Before I know it, everything that I want to experience will be over and I can't be able to actually grant my own wishes. I know that I'm important and needed here, and I want to provide the best life for my citizens... But, at the same time, I want to experience what they experience to hopefully get a better understanding of their life. That way I'll achieve all of my goals that I've set out for my life."

At least the end of this form; it certainly isn't the final end for our young Princess here! Her fairy tale is still continuing as we speak.
Thank you very much for your time!
I hope you learned a thing or two about Krystal's character by reading through this thread.
Why not go check out Octavius Colt's profile as well?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Credit wrote:Credit to my partner for coming up with the idea, writing up the coding for both of our forms that were posted on #690 and #691, writing their story on how they met, and writing about their relationship together. I'm thankful that ratatouille. also invited me to be her partner in this partner competition.
Credit to Nintendo's Animal Crossing for the room image in the initial post, as well as the butterfly & moth sprites used in the "Insect Box" section of my form.
All other images you see was made by me. The room layout was done using a site, which is linked below the image itself. All of the images you see, excluding the purple and blue heart divider (which I only colored), was hand drawn by me. These images includes the music box, pixel mail/letters, dragon plushies, and her outfits. All art by me that you see in these sections, on the basic form, as well as in the "Painting" sections, has been done on Paint Tool SAI.
I wanted to put my 110% into this competition, so I tried my best to create every image for both me and my partner to use.
Once again, thank you so much for taking your time to read through our forms.
