It's impressive how much you post. In role plays, some people would just say, 'Cole went into the room and got more armor'. Did you get the technology idea from 3D printers?

To be honest, I don't know where I get my inspiration. Most of it comes during the night, I wake up, and it's gone. Nice to know you're enjoying it though. And role players like that make me mad, not that I would post that much in a roleplay.

Orion stold on the edge of a small cliff, gazing into the water that swirled around the base. She was wearing a black and red swimsuit, but not the type most girls wore. It was more athletic, no spaghetti straps, and the pants came to her ankles. Her short, feathery hair tossed in the breeze, red tips standing out. For a moment, Cole was struck by just how pretty he was.

"Cannonball!" Screeched Shane, jumping into the water with a huge splash. Everyone else followed suit, Orion going in with a graceful flip and barely making a splash. Everyone but him. For the moment, he could see his surroundings. The building started high above the crashing waves, twisting in a crazed spiral deep into the ground. They were situated on a tiny island, surrounded by ocean. In the distance, he could barely make out the jagged horizon of Arteméa.

"Cole! Come join us!" Called Mia, ducking under the water like a fish. He glanced uneasily at the swirling water.

"Uh.. I'm good, thanks." She shrugged and swam up behind Shane, who was preparing to splash an unsuspecting Orion. Just as he prepared himself, she sent a wave of water in his direction. Cole watched, wondering what their powers were. He had fire, Orion had shadows, and Alex could make water barbed wire. He hasn't heard of that one before. A moment later, he felt something circle around his waist. He looked down to see a tendril of sandy-colored pebbles wrapped around his shirt. Shane laughed and the next moment, Cole was flying through the air.

"Woah!" The small pebbles carried him down to the water in front of Shane, who was laughing.

"I can do much bigger," he said, looking up at him. "Come join us or I'll make these rocks dissipate and you're in for a dunk." Cole laughed nervously, watching as the waves swirled around his feet.

"Shane, let him go." Snapped Orion. She held up a hand, a shadow swirling threateningly around it. Shane rolled his eyes and placed Cole on safe ground.

"Stop protecting your boyfriend," grumbled Shane. Cole let loose a burst of flame, turning the water around him to steam.

"So what does Mia do?" Asked Cole, mainly to ward off any girlfriend/boyfriend comments. She smiled, flicking back a strand of wet yellow hair. Cole expected her to come to dry land and she did so, but not in the way expected. She dove under, then a mass of blonde and white feathers shot out of the water, spreading large wings. The griffin wheeled overhead, large golden wings flapping. She raised her beak and let out a call that sounded like a cross between a roar and a screech. Then she drifted down and landed gracefully next to Cole.

"Wow." He said. "I've never seen anything like that. Can you change into other animals?" She shook her head.

Just a griffin." Startled, Cole looked around.

"Mia?"

In griffin form, this is how I speak. The others can hear me too. She replied. He smiled and gently reached out to touch her wing. If she'd been human, she probably would have blushed.

Chap 7

Postby WolvesOfFire » Tue May 05, 2015 8:14 am

"You know, I'm still mad at you for kidnapping me." Orion rolled her brown eyes.

"Yeah, because its my fault you had such a good time," she replied. Cole smiled slightly. The two were sitting outside on the edge of the cliff, legs dangling. The sun was setting, casting a brilliant golden glow across the island.

"Hey, it wasn't bad, to tell the truth." She grinned at him, brown eyes glowing.

"What do you think of the teammates?" She asked.

"Well, Mia's nice, Alex is quiet but friendly, and Shane is fun." He replied. She snorted.

"Shane is an ignorant brat. I admit, he's a good fighter. And you didn't mention me." Cole sighed.

"You're... scary." He said, grinning devilishly. Orion barely suppressed a grin.

"Scary. I think I'll take that a compliment." Cole rolled his eyes.

"In your case, it probably is." The two were alone, Shane, Alex and Mia had headed to Arteméa, apparently pizza was on Shane. Below them, the water swirled, the gentle crash filling the evening air. Cole resisted looking down. Orion bit her lip, appearing deep in thought. Suddenly she reached out and shoved him towards the sea. Cole gasped and reached for the edge, dangling over the large expanse. Orion grabbed his hand and dragged him back up, where he sat, flinching every time a wave crashed against the rocks.

"You are scared of water, aren't you?" Asked Orion softly. "If you weren't, you would've let yourself fall." Cole was breathing heavily, knees drawn to his chest.

"Yeah, I can't swim. I've tried often, but I just... panic." Orion edged closer to him.

"I think it's all just in your head," she said firmly. "Did something happen? That you would be scared, I mean?" Cole shook his head defiantly.

"No! It's none of your business!" She reached out and put a hand on his shoulder. He sighed.

"When I was fifteen, my parents and I were on a boat. There was a storm and they fell overboard. They called for me to save them, but I couldn't get up the courage to jump overboard and swim. I've been a villain afraid of water ever since." Orion remained silent, then grabbed his hand. He flinched but didn't pull away, instead squeezed her hand tighter.

"Cole, that wasn't your fault, no matter what you think. You were fifteen, you couldn't have saved them both even if you tried." He appeared lost in thought, then smiled gently at Orion.

"Thank you," he whispered. "For everything." She smirked mischeviously.

"Even kidnapping you?" She asked. He grinned and gave her a hard shove.

"Let's go see if Shane's back with the pizza?" He suggested. She got to her feet and helped him up.

"Let's go."

Re: Chap 8

Bright sunlight streamed through the window, bathing the bedroom in dazzling light. Cole groaned and sat up, shielding his eyes against the glare. Deciding it was still too early, he flopped back onto the bed.

"Get up, lazy butt," commanded Oriom, walking into his room, dressed in her armour. Cole grabbed a pillow and put it over his head, pushing his face into the bed.

"Orion, it's still dark out. It's too early." Orion raised an eyebrow.

"It's not dark, dummy. It's 6:00 am, way later than you should've slept." He didn't respond, just sighed pointedly.

"Let me sleep one more hour. Then I'll get up." Orion shook her head, strands of black and red hair swaying.

"We aren't paying you to lay in bed." Cole raised his head, pulling off the pillow.

"You're paying me?" He asked blearily, brightening slightly. Orion smirked.

"Nope." With that she reached out and grabbed his hand, pulling him off the bed.

"You suck. You're an evil tyrant." Grumbled Cole, stretching.

"I know," replied Orion, still grinning. She turned and walked out, followed by Cole, grumbling about how he should blast her face off with fire.

At the outdoor training arena, Shae was waiting for them, along with Alex, Shane, and Mia, who was in her griffin form.

"All right, team, today it's teamwork training." Called Shae loudly. A slight breeze ruffled across the island, bringing the smell of the salty ocean. Despite the fact that it was too early to be up, Cole felt energized.

"Also, you can't be a team unless you trust each other. Mia is going to carry each of you high into the sky, then drop you. In midair, she'll pretend to be injured somehow, and you have to help her, no matter how fast you're falling. Mia will catch you once you've completed. Now you all know you have wings in your armour, and most of you probably know how to use them. However, you're not permitted to open them up for this training, you're supposed to rely on Mia." Cole felt his stomach flip flop. Trust was always a hard spot for him.

Shane called the rights to go first, racing over to Mia and climbing onto her back. She dug her talons into the ground and jumped into the air, flapping her feathered wings. Shane whooped and raised his hands in the air. Soon they were too high up to see, but Shae was still watching them with a pair of binoculars. A few moments later, the two landed safely in the ground. One of Mia's legs was bandaged, ointment oozing from underneath it.

"Good job, you two. Orion, your turn." Orion nodded and clambered up onto Mia's back, hair blowing around her face. Soon, she was plummeting back to the ground, but the griffin who was supposed to be carrying her was diving beside her, appearing concerned. Only a few moments before hitting the ground, Orion did a graceful flip, landing on Mia's back, as she'd rushed forwards to catch her. Shae sighed.

"Orion, you completed your mission, but you can't be a daredevil like that. One day you could die by doing something so risky." She rolled her eyes pointedly. Cole was next. Heart beating fast, he clamped his legs around Mia's torso, who immediately shot into the air. He hung on for dear life as the ground got smaller and smaller, then Mia shook herself hard, sending him flying. Stomach roiling, he grabbed for the griffin, but she shied away.

"Cole, that's not what you're supposed to do!" It triggered, and he pulled out the bandage and ointment he'd been given. Within seconds, Mia's 'injury' was fixed. The two were still falling, cool air rushing past Cole's face, lifting his hair. Mia tucked her wings in and streaked forwards, diving underneath Cole to catch him. He only dared to breathe again after his feet were safely on the solid ground.

I'd post more often, but I don't know what to say.
Hmm... just keep going, I guess. It's an interesting story, and I, and I'm sure others, would like to see where it'll lead.

What's the group fighting against? Villains? There hasn't really been any fights yet, and if they could just recruit them like they did to Cole, what's the point of the group? The police could just take care of everybody else. Sorry if this sounds negative, it really is a good story, just had some questions.

That's fine, I'm glad you asked. It'll be cleared up a bit more later on, but basically yeah, they fight the villains that are too powerful for the police(like Cole) but unlike most villains, who don't have natural powers and can just be fought and knocked out and put in jail, Cole was born with powers, so, he was more powerful. Also, because of his powers, he would also make a good addition to their team. Hope I cleared that up!

I'd count it as fantasy, and that did help a bit. Thanks
