Jade sighed with relief as she and her sister picked up the last two letters. Her eyes burned from squinting at endless marching marks on pages and pages of letters, her paws where cramped from writing endless replies, and her back ached from her enforced position.
She turned the letter in her paws over, looking for a signature or address, but there was none. Her interest arisen, she sliced it open with a single claw and pulled the contents out.
Her brow furrowed as she read the messy pawwriting

At the same time Jasmine was reading a similar note, similar, but entirely different.
Teachers Jade and Jasmine, you are required at an extremely urgent meeting at Eagle's Eyre, mid day- A Royal Decree
"A Royal Decree?!!" Jasmine yelped as she reread the end of the note.
"Whats wrong Jasmane-mine," Jade looked up from trying to decode the sloppy writing.
"Listen to this note!" Jasmine read aloud the strange order.
"Well, good," Jade exclaimed after her sister finished reading "If we leave now we should be there by mid-moon."
"Mid-moon? But it says we need to be there by mid day. Why do we have to leave right now?"
"Because I got a note too, here," Jade handed the note to her sister.
After the fifth time reading it, Jasmine set it down and gave her sister a look.
Jade groaned inwardly and braced herself for the oncoming lecture.
"Jade, this pawwriting is terrible."
Jade grinned "Shall I ask Lionel to pack a lunch?"
Jasmine shrugged "And a mid night-snack."

Jade glanced up at the pinnacle-like rock that was swarming with prey birds, framed by the setting sun "Would you look at that?"
Jasmine looked up from the campfire "Indeed!"
Jade sat down onto the ground "I'm going to take a nap before we have to meet... whomever."
Jasmine laughed "You mean before dinner?"
"Hmm, that too."

The rusty red raccoon stared anxiously at the tiny pin-prick of light of light.
"What can they possibly be doing? Don't they get it?!" She muttered fiercely to herself, then glanced up at the moon, it wasn't quite mid-moon, but close enough.
With every ounce of stealth she could summon, the raccoon made her way down to the fire.

Jasmine took over her sister "As are you it seems, no harm done."
"No, not yet."
"Well, why don't you come to the fire and we can speak," Jasmine offered.
