I'm there. I looked around. Wait - this room isn't the right one! I dashed to the entrance so I could leave it, but a large, thin stone fell over it, blocking my escape. It must've been booby-trapped. I looked around, panicked. What do I do? I kicked the stone blocking the entrance, but it wouldn't budge. Great job, Archie, I thought. You come here again to find more artifacts but you'll probably kill yourself. I cursed under my breath. I scanned the walls, hoping there was a plan of how to get out of this room, written in hieroglyphs of course. One section in particular looked like it might be the way. I attempted to decode it, and what I got was pretty complex. The plan was to:
1. Pull on the rope in the corner of the room
2. Stay in that corner, some of the floor will crumble
3. Leave the corner after the rope's knot reaches the ceiling again, when it does, pick up a stone and throw it at the glass on the wall
4. The glass will shatter, and it will trigger the sensitive pressure plates behind it, and opening the door
Okay. I think I can do this, I thought. I did what the hieroglyph said, and the door finally opened! I ran out and exited the pyramid. I think I was done with pyramids for the day.

I told Samuel what happened. He was pretty impressed. He even said, "I'm very impressed. If I was in that situation, I wouldn't be able to do that. I would panic way to much." I guess that's a pretty nice thing to say... I'm never very self-confident. I'll write tomorrow. Bye!

I saw a black figure dash into Cleocatra's pyramid. SO MANY FIGURES EVERYWHERE. Okay, that's over with. But it makes me curious... It was about the size of Cleocatra, and her fur was black, too! I might've saw some yellow, too. She wore a few yellow-ish accessories! That's certainly not good! That gets me thinking... Is the rumor true? I'll write later. Bye!

My mechanical pencil ran out of lead when I was marking a few coordinates on my dig site. So I have to use this pencil until I either get more lead or find my other few mechanical pencils. So, um, back to that figure. I think it might have been Cleocatra, meaning the rumor is possibly true. I'm debating, do I go into the pyramid and try to find Cleocatra if she's there, or do I wait it out?

I had met most of the people who lived here, but maybe I hadn't met this wolf. "Who are you?" I asked the pink-ish wolf. He looked at me. "Orville," the pink-ish wolf replied. "I think I've seen you on a magazine before. You're Archie," he added quietly, adjusting his mask a little. "Yes, I'm Archie," I replied. I bet the magazine he mentioned was the evil magazine. "Oh. Hello then," Orville barked and then stalked off. "Well, in that case, goodbye Orville," I said. I turned away and began to shop for a few supplies.

I wandered the marketplace, looking for a few supplies I forgot yesterday. A young doe wandered up to me. She looked like this:

"Who are you?" I asked the doe. "Rosy!" she chirped. "Who are you? You're a wolf, right?" the young doe added. "I'm Archie. And yes, I'm a wolf," I replied. "You look weird. You look kinda like a map," Rosy laughed. I clawed the ground. "Well, yes I do. I travel around this world, for that fact," I growled. Rosy didn't have a reaction. "Oh," she simply said. "I don't mean to be rude, but why the heck do you wear a scarf in the middle of Egypt?" I asked Rosy. "Because I can," she snapped, turning to walk away.
I don't know, but she seemed like someone I knew. Wait - could it be..? Did she have shape-shifting powers somehow..?

Okay! Me and Samuel survived! Our tents are a little torn, but we'll fix that soon. But why are there so many beetles scattered outside..? Something isn't right. Something strange is going on.

I don't have much to report! The beetles have sparked rumors around the town, but I expected that. I should get to the dig site, I should make a little more progress there today. I'll write later! Bye!

I'm not going to write much today, sorry. But I found a mummified cat. Luckily it's not Cleocatra! It seems like it was just a popular local that was mummified, nothing special. But it's still a great find! I also found a few gems with it, that's pretty awesome too.
