Lychee, my arm hurts too much to want to punch someone with it.
Today I went to Henry's house as I said earlier...
It was terrible. The house itself was fine, Henry was long-winded as usual, but alright. But it's what happened there that I hate.
Seriously. I ended up in a fight with Reef, thinking I could win it, but I ended up with a broken arm while she was completely unharmed apart from a black eye. And even for that, her coat's long enough that she could just comb it over her eye if she needs to.
But before I begin looking really cruel, let me explain. By writing out the conversation. Henry was just taking down notes and reading the school website in detail. Including every rule. I tried to ask him a few questions just because I was kinda bored, but he ignored them completely. I don't think he even heard me.
"So, if he's just going to continue writing, we might as well go do something."
"Such as?"
"I dunno, go get some food or something?"
I shrugged absentmindledly.
"But he did not offer us anything, why would we-"
"Yeah, I'm hungry."
Reef stared, pissed off, at Lucy, who didn't seem to notice.
"Do so if you wish; I will be going to the living room.
I don't know why she didn't just stay in his room, but I guess it is true Henry didn't look like he was going to tear himself away from the computer any time soon.
As an attempt to sound polite, I waved a paw in front of Henry, trying to see if he would react in any way whatsoever. He didn't, though he did mutter to himself some random stuff probably about the school. I didn't bother figuring out exactly what he said, so I just walked out. After
"I may have a different opinion than you do, but why is everything here so... unnecessary?"
She was walking around, looking at the shelves.
"Probably both. Hey, a recorder!"
"You mean a tape? Oh."
It was one of those instrument things made of wood that Lucy had picked up. She began playing an upbeat tune mostly with the lower notes. I thought it was pretty good.
When she was done, Reef looked exasperated.
"I believe the recorder was not made to adapt rock songs, Lucy."
"But it was amazing, right?"
"As much as I hate to say this... No."
"Eh, no problem. Idiots tend not to have good taste anyway.
"What did you just say about my intelligence?"
So, two people were arguing with each other using sentences with the templas "What did you just say about my _____?!"
I felt a strange sense of déjá vu.
So, anyway, Lucy scoffed, walked towards the door, and declared that we had no taste in music.
"Wait, I don't think we should leave yet?"
"I agree. I know you have absolutely no manners, but you could at the least pretend to be polite."
"Well, you aren't my mother, are you?"
"No, but I doubt you would even listen to yours."
"SHUT UP!"
I'm guessing she really likes her mother or something, because the next second, she had charged at Reef.
"Why, you-"
Then she punched Lucy in the stomach, who retaliated with another hit. I watched quietly, enjoying the show.
"Wait, wait! Can you stop for a moment?"
They paused, staring at me.
"Yes?"
"I need to just go to the store and buy some popcorn, I'll be back-"
I never got to finish that statement before Lucy walked to me and punched me.
"Hey!"
So I joined in the fight on Reef's side until Lucy quit (about five minutes later) and Reef made a comment about how I probably shouldn't "be wearing a hat indoors while fighting, nor a bandana". Then I was against her.
Our attacks mainly failed, since her coat was long (as I said earlier) enough for cutting strikes to not affect her. But I looked into her eyes, and I gathered everything I know about her - her skills, her attitude, her anger, her hobbies, her-
Okay, on second thought, this is a diary, not a log to record fighting styles. Suffice to say that I understood her enough to predict her attacks a split second ahead of time and dodge. But my hat was my downfall. With all the running around as if we were insane, I dropped it way too many times, and I had to stop to pick it up. Generally, I did so fast enough to leap from an attack, but one time she was too near me, and happened to be holding... something. I didn't get the chance to look at it. When she struck me, I was just turning around, and the momentum sent me sprawling into a wall.
If I had been turning more slowly, the force of it, I know, would be much less. Unfortunately, I'm just too fast, and it was impossible to stop the hit, so I instead held up my paws, hoping to embed my nails into the wall. It failed. I couldn't possibly think all of these things, do them,
and stay calm, after all, so I only managed to lift a front paw before I collided with it.
Guess what happened next.

Long things yayy.
