Lucy in her own eyes/Filler

Postby Piefan » Mon Nov 17, 2014 9:26 pm

Date: 14/02/2014
Weather: Sunny I guess?
Mood: this is a diary. I'll answer
this in the actual entry
Why are there so many
sections to fill out anyway
Of all the things I could've gotten, she gave me a diary. Not even food or something, a diary. But whatever, as long as I own this, might as well write about myself. People need some way to admire my awesomeness anyway.

I'm Lucy, and mostly a perfect person. I've been told I'm good at acting, singing and dancing. Basically everything to do with performance arts. I have good taste in fashion, colours, all that stuff as well. ...Fine, I'll admit I'm not perfect. I'm easily-ish distracted and generally forget things easily. But mostly, I'm fabulous, so most of that other stuff doesn't really matter.

Lychee, I am going to break someone's jaw with how hard I punch them.

I haven't written in a week, I know, but there hasn't been much to write about. But now - seriously, a week and four days after school began - we were assigned a group project about making an essay on what we think of the school, and writing about the school in general whether facts or opinions.

(... Henry's rubbing off on me. I hate him.)

Yes, seriously, we have to work as a group. To write an essay. About the school. Less than a month after it starts.

Why.

And to top it all off, we had to discuss this at out own homes. What kind of school is this, because it's terrible. "Hey, I'm annoyed. Better spread it to everyone else! Oh no, they don't care! Let's turn it up to eleven!" For goodness sake, the principal or whoever else is in charge should be fired and banned from ever being allowed to lead. Like, seriously.

Anyway, should be going now. He said to be there at 3 sharp, and he doesn't seem like the kind of person who would let someone be late by even two minutes. At least I was excused from some of my chores.
____
Next post will be an entry in Henry's diary because of how wonderfully fitting it is.

A Huge Mess

Postby Piefan » Tue Nov 18, 2014 3:25 pm

Dear Journal,

It was a boring day today...

Excluding the fact that my worst enemies just visited my house and wrecked it.

I believe I've introduced them already, so no need to do so again. The teacher giving the assignment was ordinary, imagine an old lady sitting on a chair, a brown dog looking like he was going to punch her in the face, a purple one grimacing, a lighter brown one weeping softly, and a pink one with all the same actions as the others.

Seriously. I planned on getting good grades this year, and my team is horrible. Lucy is more concerned with her looks than actual learning, Apollo could get distracted from any scene by a shiny balloon, and Reef... She's fine, actually, but she doesn't really voice her opinions, so I mainly have to do everything myself.

So, I suppose I should probably describe how the visit went. And I shall.

I had prepared everything needed to write an essay - I had found the school website (why they didn't list it in the handbook is a mystery), along with ten spare pencils, erasers, and pieces of paper, which I arranged neatly on a table. My parents were out for the afternoon, but they trusted me enough to have some 'friends' over without anything bad happening.

Reef was completely punctual, arriving exactly 34 milliseconds before 3. Apollo was acceptable, only five minutes late. But Lucy - Lucy was terrible. I managed to read five chapters of a novel I bought recently before she came. No kidding.

When she came, I led them to the computer where I had set up everything and logged on to the website. No, there wasn't any conversation, nor did Lucy apologise. She literally declared that she was "fashionably late" and followed me. Considering how I felt the last time I had spoke to Apollo, I didn't feel like speaking to him, nor he to me.

"So, when's the deadline again?" Lucy eventually asked. I stared at her and answered.

"Tomorrow."

"Wait, what?" Apollo seemed terrified. Even I could tell that much. "We have one day to write an essay?"

"Yes, exactly," Reef replied. Bless that girl, I would have probably strangled someone if I had to continue the conversation with him. She isn't as vocal as I'd like, but who am I to judge?

The both of them continued speaking while I checked the website and picked up a pencil, taking down notes. It should be noted that while I know I've shown myself to be intelligent, that knowledge primarily extends to physics and the animal body, not technology. The computer was simple enough, but I seldom use it, so it took a few moments of fumbling.

"So, Apollo, do you think the food in the cafeteria is good enough or?" I asked after a while.

I got no answer. "Oh, come on, Apollo, did you become Reef or something... Oh."

I turned around and found that I was alone, and I assumed they had left until I heard Lucy's voice say, carried by sheer volume: "Seriously, Henry? Seriously? " Her tone was as sarcastic as it often was, but her voice caught between the first and second sentence, giving an impression of sadness or terror.

"Fine, fine, I'm coming. Can you really blame me?" I grunted, annoyed.

I could almost feel her rolling her eyes as I briskwalked towards where the voice was coming from.

"What happened exactly?"

Apollo and Reef were in the living room, standing on all fours and scowling at each other. The area around the latter's eye was blackened and Apollo seemed to be avoiding putting weight on his front left leg, as it was lifted slightly in contrast to the others, which were firmly planted on the ground.

"I'll explain later; all you need to know that the three of us got into a fight and I backed out, though neither of them did. I think you should be calling an ambulance or something, I heard a crack somewhere during the fight and..."

I don't have time ti finish this entry; just know that there was a huge mess there. I need to clean it up now...
______
I hope it's not too boring, next entry will be what really happened in the living room, in Apollo's view.

Broken Bones

Postby Piefan » Tue Nov 18, 2014 9:20 pm

Lychee, my arm hurts too much to want to punch someone with it.

Today I went to Henry's house as I said earlier...

It was terrible. The house itself was fine, Henry was long-winded as usual, but alright. But it's what happened there that I hate.

Seriously. I ended up in a fight with Reef, thinking I could win it, but I ended up with a broken arm while she was completely unharmed apart from a black eye. And even for that, her coat's long enough that she could just comb it over her eye if she needs to.

But before I begin looking really cruel, let me explain. By writing out the conversation. Henry was just taking down notes and reading the school website in detail. Including every rule. I tried to ask him a few questions just because I was kinda bored, but he ignored them completely. I don't think he even heard me.

"So, if he's just going to continue writing, we might as well go do something."
"Such as?"
"I dunno, go get some food or something?"

I shrugged absentmindledly.

"But he did not offer us anything, why would we-"
"Yeah, I'm hungry."

Reef stared, pissed off, at Lucy, who didn't seem to notice.

"Do so if you wish; I will be going to the living room.

I don't know why she didn't just stay in his room, but I guess it is true Henry didn't look like he was going to tear himself away from the computer any time soon.

As an attempt to sound polite, I waved a paw in front of Henry, trying to see if he would react in any way whatsoever. He didn't, though he did mutter to himself some random stuff probably about the school. I didn't bother figuring out exactly what he said, so I just walked out. After

"I may have a different opinion than you do, but why is everything here so... unnecessary?"

She was walking around, looking at the shelves.

"Probably both. Hey, a recorder!"
"You mean a tape? Oh."

It was one of those instrument things made of wood that Lucy had picked up. She began playing an upbeat tune mostly with the lower notes. I thought it was pretty good.

When she was done, Reef looked exasperated.

"I believe the recorder was not made to adapt rock songs, Lucy."
"But it was amazing, right?"
"As much as I hate to say this... No."
"Eh, no problem. Idiots tend not to have good taste anyway.
"What did you just say about my intelligence?"

So, two people were arguing with each other using sentences with the templas "What did you just say about my _____?!"

I felt a strange sense of déjá vu.

So, anyway, Lucy scoffed, walked towards the door, and declared that we had no taste in music.

"Wait, I don't think we should leave yet?"
"I agree. I know you have absolutely no manners, but you could at the least pretend to be polite."
"Well, you aren't my mother, are you?"
"No, but I doubt you would even listen to yours."
"SHUT UP!"

I'm guessing she really likes her mother or something, because the next second, she had charged at Reef.

"Why, you-"

Then she punched Lucy in the stomach, who retaliated with another hit. I watched quietly, enjoying the show.

"Wait, wait! Can you stop for a moment?"

They paused, staring at me.

"Yes?"
"I need to just go to the store and buy some popcorn, I'll be back-"

I never got to finish that statement before Lucy walked to me and punched me.

"Hey!"

So I joined in the fight on Reef's side until Lucy quit (about five minutes later) and Reef made a comment about how I probably shouldn't "be wearing a hat indoors while fighting, nor a bandana". Then I was against her.

Our attacks mainly failed, since her coat was long (as I said earlier) enough for cutting strikes to not affect her. But I looked into her eyes, and I gathered everything I know about her - her skills, her attitude, her anger, her hobbies, her-

Okay, on second thought, this is a diary, not a log to record fighting styles. Suffice to say that I understood her enough to predict her attacks a split second ahead of time and dodge. But my hat was my downfall. With all the running around as if we were insane, I dropped it way too many times, and I had to stop to pick it up. Generally, I did so fast enough to leap from an attack, but one time she was too near me, and happened to be holding... something. I didn't get the chance to look at it. When she struck me, I was just turning around, and the momentum sent me sprawling into a wall.

If I had been turning more slowly, the force of it, I know, would be much less. Unfortunately, I'm just too fast, and it was impossible to stop the hit, so I instead held up my paws, hoping to embed my nails into the wall. It failed. I couldn't possibly think all of these things, do them, and stay calm, after all, so I only managed to lift a front paw before I collided with it.

Guess what happened next.

"Blackmail?"

Postby Piefan » Wed Nov 19, 2014 10:30 pm

Arggghh. I hate Reef even more now. Damn it, why is it that she, Miss Never-Fights-In-Her-Life, just got a black eye and I got so heavily injured that I can't play sports or much other stuff? I... am actually feeling a strange urge to analyse this. For goodness sake, Henry, why are you rubbing off on me so much? But anyway... Reef is fed well and healthily, with probably a whole lot of rest the night before. There's what I mentioned last entry, about her long fur. Most of my attacks were with my sharp nails. At most, her fur would get cut. Wow, uneven pelt. Terrifying.

And then, there's me. Shorter coat, tries to predict what the person who often hides her emotions will do, not much rest, easily distracted.

I think I understand now, actually. Moving on!

Reef apologised. She gave me a gift too - a hat. A fez, to be specific. Her coat was very delicately combed, and she took more care in her movements than she usually did, probably because it would shift her hairs to move quickly.

While at lunch, Reef was suddenly called upon by this random... teacher, I think? Maybe discipline master... I don't know. He asked her to go to the principal's office, she did it. I then asked her about what was happening later on. She responded by tearing out a page from her diary.

I walked to the office upon Mr. Jordan's request, my calm steps betraying my true fear. Not once had I gotten in trouble, and I had done nothing wrong nor right recently. Thus, the conclusion I had come to was that I waa being accused of something I had not done.

(Yes, I did forget about breaking Apollo's arm at that moment.)

***
When I reached the room, the principal, a tall lady with dark fur and red eyes, gestured for me to take a seat. "You do know why you're here, right?" she asked me.

"Er, no."

"Well then, that's too bad!" she snapped, and I realised she most likely thought I was trying tl be rude. "You broke Apollo's arm, and for what?"

"Well-" I began, ready to explain.

"I don't want to know!"

"Why did you ask then?" I replied coldly.

"That was a rhetorical question!"

***124 lines of back-and-forth arguments later (how many pages does she have here, exactly?)***
"Therefore, you're getting twenty hours of detention. I'll be calling your parents as well."

My pupils diluted at this; I did not want them to discover what I had done, and there was no way I could stop or intercept the call.

"But you cannot," I stated, feigning confidence. "For one thing, they already know it." This was a blatant lie, for I had begged Apollo enough that he kept it from them.

"Oh, really? I guess I'll skip the call then." I relaxed slightly at this, but she continued, "However, I still have to give some form of punishment to make up for that. 22 hours detention."

I winced. "Alright then. I shall just tell my parents about that... They know the full explanation for this... And my mother does own a popular blog... Of which she will likely post of this, including the name of the school and causing this place to lose much popularity... And making most parents withdraw their children from the school..." And, after she still seemed not to care, I added, "And meaning you will never have the satisfaction of students admitting you were right about the schools' groups..."

She scowled. "Fine then, no detention."

To quote her, 'upon reaching the cafeteria, her friends peppered her with excessive questions.'

(Friends? I'm pretty sure we all still hate each other.)

"What happened? Did you get suspended or something?"

Lucy looked more hopeful than ever.

"... No, no I did not."
"Well, that's a shame. Seriously, though, what happened?"
"Well, she was going to give me detention, but I reminded her of the fact my mother owns a popular blog and she could very well defame the school."
"Wait, so you basically blackmailed her?"
"Blackmail? Of course not. A simple reminder of the consequences of an action is not blackmail."

Her expression was enough to figure out that she really hated breaking the rules, though. Not surprised.
___
This is the only post I actually planned out so far. Therefore, for a summary:
plot points:
-Teammates apologise in cafeteria
-Reef buys something as extra apology (and blackmails principal into not punishing her). Apollo is impressed, others are basically "wat".

I'm not sure what should happen next though. If you jave any suggestions, please tell me!

"Now THIS is blackmail."

Postby Piefan » Thu Nov 20, 2014 7:48 pm

Lychee, it's been two weeks since I last wrote in you. You'd think Lucy would have improved by now... it's been - wait, let me find a calculator - 42 days. But she's still really annoying. Apparently it's her birthday in a week, and she obviously needed to freak out about it. Oh no, her party's going to be terrible. How horrifying.

This is literaly literally what she said at lunch:

"Oh my gosh! This is terrible!"
I was lining up to get my food, though the others usually brought their own and told me about the earlier parts of the talk.

They ignored her.

"Ahem? You're supposed to be all 'wow, Lucy, what happened?'"
"No."
"If it will make you stop whining, I suppose. Wow, Lucy, what happened?"

It was around this moment that I came, carrying my tray on my back because broken arm.

"My birthday's totally coming soon and I haven't even started planning my party! I need your help."
"Why? Couldn't ya just have a regular party? Go to your house, buy a cake?"
"Of course not! I'm inviting all my popular friends and-"
"Wait, you have friends?"
"Those people must hate themselves."
"SHUT UP!"

I put a paw to my mouth to stop myself from laughing.

"Fine then. Ignoring whether you've got friends or not, why're you telling us this?"
"Well, that was obviously a subtle suggestion that yiu should help out!"
"But-"
"I have footage of the battle between you and Reef, would you like me to show it to the school?"
"Fine, I'll help."

She had a smug expression that made me want to punch her very hard. Very, very hard.

"And Reef, would you like me to show that same footage to your parents?"
"No..."

My cousin had a look with defeat scribbled all over it. Oh, come on!

"And Henry, I found your diary. How'd you like the other nerds to know about your obsession with unicorns?"

He narrowed his eyes and flattened his ears.

"Fine."

So I guess we're meeting after school tomorrow. My mother wants me to do some extra chores to make up for that, so I'll be going now!

Okay thanks! I can't wait to see ur new entries, they're incredible! Oh, just a suggestion but can you put the writer of each entry's pic in the top or somewhere in the Lychee? Cuz I'm getting confused of which Lychee is which until I read the lychee above.

Sure~ I was hoping that the writing styles and stuff would be enough to distinguish them (Reef shall write in size 90, Apollo with coloured dialogue, Lucy probably same as him but with the information thing at the side, and Henry plain and simple), but then again, I guess it'd be hard to tell when I never said so anywhere.
