Just a bit of clarification, this week for our entry we are required to create a character form to fit the description above? :3

"Hi! My name is Chiquinha Parker. Now, repeat after me. Shi. Kin. Huh. That's how my name is pronounced. You won't believe the mispronunciations I encountered. Many people don't even try. Some call me 'Chica', or they just call me by my last name, Parker. My third grade teacher was the worst. She insisted on calling me 'Chicken-ha' and gave me detention for correcting her. The only people who successfully pronounced it are my three friends back in Wyoming. The rest just settle on calling me Parker if they don't know me, or Quin if they do. As for my last name, it sounds rather plain. I'm just glad that I didn't end up with my mother's last name, Avocado. Chiquinha Avocado; can you imagine that? I am eighteen years old, so I guess I'm an adult now. I always thought that being out of high school meant partying with my three friends, but life had other ideas, which I'll get into later. Gender? Ha ha, that's a nice one. I am a girl, even though I'm quite the tomboy. But I should hope that I look feminine enough to be considered a girl! As for sexual orientation, I'm straight. Or at least, I think. I've never fallen in love with anyone, whether it's male or female. More questions? Well, since I have nothing better to do, I might as well answer them."

The Crust ~ What's On the Surface
⟶ Well, every person looks different. Because of that, Chiquinha is far from average. First of all, she is quite tall; in fact, she's the tallest of her friends at five foot seven. She often boasts about her height to anyone who tries to put her down. Meanwhile, for someone of her height, her weight is average. She sees herself as neither skinny nor fat. She just eats a lot and then runs around outside. Quin's skin tone is light, with only the slightest hint of a tan. Being from Wyoming, she has only visited a beach once in her lifetime. Instead, she just walks around her town on sunny days. Her hair, meanwhile, is teetering on the edge of dirty blonde and light brown. It has no highlights or hair dye in it, since that's the way she likes it--natural. It is very thin, and easy to handle. She usually puts in up in a loose braid, since her old town often has windy days and there's nothing more she hates than having her hair whip in her face. Her hair is slightly longer than shoulder length, and she prefers to keep it that way. It is somewhat wavy as well. Meanwhile, her eyes are hazel--a mixture of green and light brown. The light brown is the most prominent, though the green is noticeable as well.
Meanwhile, Quin's style is very casual, nothing fancy. Usually, she wears T-shirts depicting the poster art of her favorite movies, which include Jaws and Jurassic Park, and jeans. She also prefers wearing loose clothing over clothing that shows off cleavage and curves. She hates makeup and tattoos, though why she hates them is unknown, even to her.
The Mantle ~ Going a Bit Deeper
⟶ Outspoken, outgoing, humorous, and loud are just a few words to describe Chiquinha. She's very much an extrovert. Outgoing and friendly, she makes a lot of friends, even though only three of them are close. She's the type that will approach the new kid and offer to be their friend, and the type that will stick up for the unpopular kid and protect them from bullies. She has a sense of humor and always likes to express it through jokes. She always makes fun of bullies and never lets a single comment drag her down. She may sometimes seem a little arrogant or self-centered, though she never means to. Everything the says is loud and passionate, especially if she feels strongly about the matter. However, since she lost all of her close friends after going to a university, Quin uses her happiness as a facade rather than her true self. Now it's her turn to be lonely, her turn to be the unpopular new kid. She hates it more than anything. She hates it more than tattoos, drinking, and seafood combined.
Now, on to what Chiquinha likes. Her favorite things in the world are old movies. Her favorite is Jaws, but she'll watch anything old, provided it's good. She really likes those cheesy horror movies that are supposed to make you scream but make you laugh instead. She also loves camping, and telling ghost stories by campfire. Of course, her favorite food is popcorn, being the movie fanatic that she is.
There are some things that Quin doesn't like. The first is body modifications, such as makeup and tattoos. She only hates it on herself, though; she doesn't judge people with makeup and tattoos. She hates sports, especially since there aren't any she's good at. Unless you can consider debating a sport. But she would much prefer to curl up on the couch with a bag of popcorn and watch a movie. She also hates drinking, and hates romance or anything like it. But most of all, she hates being alone.
Back to the happy stuff! Quin's hobbies include watching movies and camping, and roasting marshmallows, even if it's over a stove. She aspires to be a movie critic, and always reviews movies that she sees (though she never publishes them).
The Outer Core ~ Close to the Center
⟶ Chiquinha Parker has had a normal history. She was born and grew up in a small town in Wyoming. She's made many friends throughout her school years, and encountered popular girls, dumb teachers, etc. However, her life really started in high school, when she met her three closest friends. First came Delilah, a.k.a. Dragon. Dragon was new, and the two were assigned to be lab partners. It was Quin who came up with the Dragon nickname for her friend. Then Dragon introduced Quin to Shelley, another new girl. The three became instant friends, though the trio soon became a quartet when they stood up for a girl named Destiny. The four bonded over the years, overcoming drama and all that high school stuff together. Then senior year came, and everyone realized what they wanted to do. Dragon wanted to be a comic book artist, Shelley wanted to be a fashion designer, Destiny wanted to be a film director, and Chiquinha wanted to be a film critic. Though predicting that they'll see each other again, they went their separate ways. And then, of course, Quin's parents stepped in, and signed her up to study journalism in a university far away from the only home she's known. She is not happy about it.
The Inner Core ~ The Very Center
⟶ As of now, Chiquinha is single, and she always has been. No other person, male or female, has ever caught her interest. She's just not that kind of person. Because of this, she does not know her sexual orientation. She assumes she's straight, but she's actually asexual. She just hasn't figured it out yet. However, she does have friends. Back in Wyoming, she's made many friends, her closest being three girls named Delilah "Dragon" Ailier, Shelley Barron, and Destiny Greene. Delilah, or Dragon as she was called, was referred by Quin as the glue that holds the quartet together. She was an artist, very funny, and the one who united the quartet (see history). Shelley was a fashion designer by nature, and she loved music. Meanwhile, Destiny was the shy girl who actually wanted to be a film director. After high school, the four friends parted ways (again, see history), leaving Chiquinha more alone than she's ever been in her life. Meanwhile, she deems her family as okay. She has no pets, but she does have a brother named Chase who's a college junior. Her parents are like the average parents, though they are growing old.
As for secrets, Chiquinha has only one: she's lonely after moving to a university. She's grown up in Wyoming, and is used to being that funny extrovert with many friends. But when all of her friends left to do their own thing, and her parents sighed her up to be in a university far away, she quickly started to become lonely. Of course, she uses her humor to mask it. To distract herself, she uses her old movies.

They say that life's better lived shallow

n a m e ;; "Oi, the name's Irene Poisson! Touch o' french blood, see, and got me father's accent. We all been cooped up in shanghai but before that, we living in Scotland! Okay, none of this ridicule. I really have only a bit of the old family accent, and even so I wouldn't really tell you much about it, now would I darling? No, I don't think so. You can leave now." Irene is a bit resentful that she doesn't have the family accent. She has only a hint of it, and that's not nearly enough for her. She does have some French roots; her father was half French and half Scottish, and they lived in Scotland for three years when she was young and then moved to Shanghai to satisfy her Chinese mother.

Anyways she was named for Irene Adler, the famous con that escaped Sherlock himself. Her father and mother both agreed on the name; her Chinese name is Bing Gong-Ju, meaning Ice Princess. That her mother decided completely on her own. Her father still has no idea what it means but thinks it sounds nice, and the sound is all that matters...right? Irene is quite irked, though--she never asked to be anyone's Ice Princess, and to think that they didn't ask her before choosing the name! The thought is revolting. Her mother could have shouted it to her tummy; Irene is confident she would have heard her in the womb and shouted back her own rather unpleasant comments.

a g e ;; "I'm eighteen. I'm going to enter Harvard University--I got perfect SAT scores so I made it out of China and into America!" She may say that starkly, but in reality she's bursting with pride. While others dreamed of being baseball player and dancers and movie stars she dreamed of going to Harvard and becoming a lawyer and being rich! And perhaps writing a book or two, yes, yes. Irene's birthday is January 21st. There's nothing special about that birthday, which irks her about as much as the fact she was named Ice Princess. So many other people have coinciding birthdays with stars and famous people simply. Irene's Chinese Zodiac is the Dog, although maybe a week later and she would have been a pig. Eek. Pig. However in Western Zodiac she is Aquarius.

g e n d e r ;; "Are you really asking that to my face? Are you really and seriously asking that?" Er, she's female. She's been female for oh, maybe eighteen years? And you've just noticed? Yeah, um, we're going to need to get you some optics, darling...and perhaps some hearing aids. those will probably be helpful too. And maybe some social learning classes. You're paying for them though.

▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▀▀▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀

Just to look in the mirror with vanity

h e i g h t ;; "My height is five feet and eight inches." She is prim, although she's less than happy with that height. If she were taller she would be more beautiful than she is now, she should think, and vanity is one of her biggest personality traits. But she's tall enough and pretty tall already for her age, so everyone says, so she guesses she can go with it. But she'd still like to be taller. Taller is better, right? Isn't it? She's determined to get taller, and that, you'll find, is why she likes wearing high heels. She's not teased about her height--even her friends tell her she's plenty tall, but every once in a while someone who knows her well and is not on her best side right then will tease her and tell her she's short. Well, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

w e i g h t ;; "I should believe that is not correct to ask." IT is not polite to ask, you can leave now. But she is, if you'd have to know, 115 pounds. She's quite a bit underweight, but not because she's dieting or because she's one of those obsessed people who love to starve themselves to be skinny. She's found she's generally a very skinny person and simply doesn't pig out. Except for when there's chocolate. It's just a habit, perhaps, or maybe a quirk? She is a picky eater and hates most foods--oh look we've gotten off topic. back to the point.

e y e s ;; "Brown like tree bark, darling." Although you might think that she may be more ashamed of this than her height, you'd be wrong. She loves her eyes, although she would be quick to deny it. They're not chocolate brown like most boast their eyes to be, but they are a dark shade of brown, more like dark chocolate though not exactly. They're very nearly black if you look from a distance, but at a close distance you can see that the color is very, very clearly brown. She gets it from her roots and her family. Everyone in her family except for her Aunt May and her father have dark brown eyes, and that's because Uncle Steve married her. She's not blood related, and Irene will be quick to state that in case anyone thinks that her eyes look just a tiny bit like Aunt May's blue ones.

h a i r ;; "Darling, I think you're blind." She's getting irritated, you better watch out. Anyways, her hair is a natural dark brown like any other Chinese girl, but she dyes it black every two months or so, preferring jet black to the mousey sort of dark brown she usually has to deal with it. Most girls cherish the moment when they get a license, but she cherishes the one day every two months when she can dye her hair and be done with it. Her hair is very shiny, although to get it to that state of perfection she washes it thrice a day on the weekend days and four times a day in the week. How, exactly, you may ask, does she get to do it four times? Well, she'll wake up, six in the morning and take a shower. Then she'll eat, dress, etc. At six forty five, she washes it again. As for the afternoon she washes it once as soon as she gets home and once before she goes to bed. Her hair goes to three inches above her waist.

c l o t h e s ;; "White dresses with blue satin sashes." No, she doesn't actually wear those, though she does make an effort to look pretty but elegant at the same time. She dresses to impress and among her wardrobe are tens and hundreds of dresses. Her family isn't rich so it's not like she has designer clothing, but other than the dresses, everything is brand clothing. The dresses are from China; her grandmother brings her at least five every time she visits her. It's fantastic to her. On the offbeat she is not actually wearing dresses she will wear skinny jeans and a normal top, though she may choose a particularly fitting one. It's just a habit of hers and she loves it.

overall look ;; "A skinny Asian girl with dark brown hair and dark brown eyes." She's very skinny and lean, and has a waifish body type without many curves. She is not quite caring, though a good part of her deals in vanity. She has a freakishly pale complexion and is determined to keep it without losing it to the evil sun that burned her classmates and made her tan while she sat with skin as white as snow like an angel during the summer. She stays inside most of the summer and always has the blinds closed, and even then is firm on staying away from the windows anyways. She also powders herself all over, and eventually she just becomes, well, white as snow. She likes to look flawless and so stays away from sports and things like that, but she does enjoy writing and there is a callous on her thumb, marking the wrong way she holds her pencils.

She has dark brown hair that, when washed, looks black and when not washed, still looks black, but from up close you can see that it is actually brown. She has dark brown eyes. Her eyebrows are artfully perched above her eyes.

▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▀▀▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀
But you've gotta follow those heartlines on your hand

p e r s o n a l i t y ;; "I am vain, I suppose. I am prim and proper and I am charming when I need to be." You may be confused by all these traits. Simply enough, to herself or her family, she is vain and arrogant, cold and uncaring. She won't hesitate to insult them or laugh at their 'beauty'. Irene will preen herself and primp herself in the mirror, carefully powdering on the white powder that she almost depends on these days. She is somewhat of a jerk to her family, but holds a soft spot to her grandparents. She is much kinder to them. To the teachers she is the model student, who sits up straight in class and always has the answers. She'll never break a rule unless she didn't know about it and is quite stiff. The teachers have the impression she is the best student. She is always disassociated with any minor or major crime that happens in the school immediately. The teachers like her. To her classmates, she's charming and sophisticated. She's somewhat of a personality changing person, though not really--she tunes her personality at the time to what she thinks will benefit her most, and prim and proper benefits her at times, charming benefits her at times, and vain doesn't benefit her at all, but that's the real her, at least.

h i s t o r y ;; "I was born in Scotland. I lived there for three years, then, to satisfy my Chinese mother, we moved to Shanghai." Her father was born in Scotland but was half French. He himself yearned to go to France, but her mother refused. She wanted to go back to Shanghai. She had lived long enough in the country of foreigners. she had learned to speak English and she had everything she wanted but her hometown, and Irene's father relented. He supposed he had to. So they moved to Shanghai, where Irene blossomed as a favorite among the teachers and sort of an outcast among the students, though not the bad kind. Soon the SAT tests came along, and Irene was quivering with fear. If she could only get perfect scores, then she could go to America. If she didn't, well, she was doomed. The schools in China may have been great, but she knew the colleges were far from prestigious and pristine.

The SAT tests came back. As Irene carefully separated the binding glue with the paper, she glanced at her test and saw a 99. Well, she was dead now. But what about the extra credit? Praying to a god she didn't believe in, she flipped the flimsy sheet of paper over. Yes! All five points in extra credit. That made up for whatever question she missed, and she wasn't going to go and check which one it was now. Why should she, when he had almost guaranteed passage into the United States? She would go back and look for it later--no, now. The teachers were watching her curiously, waiting for her response to the 99. Flipping the pages slowly, she came to a red marked question.

#8. 请解决以下问题:
(48)384×4=

Well, it wasn't too horrible. She knew the answer even now and sighed. She straightened up from her sigh and flipped the page back. Nodding sharply at the teachers and giving them a small bow, she walked out of the grubby, drab gray classroom and into the hallway, where she looked around, her plaits flying in the air when someone tapped her on the shoulder. Cochrann, the Russian girl who had moved here recently, stood just behind her, gulping when Irene smiled like she usually did. "I--I wanted to ask," she stammered out in English, "how did you get such a good score?"

For once, in front of her classmates Irene was bitter and angry. She laughed, coldly. "A good score? 99? It is less than a good score." She turned and walked away.

social status ;; "I'm the darling, adored outcast." While people may not crowd around her for a signature or giggle and laugh with her, she's generally welcomed and loved by most. She does have enemies, lots of them, but half of them are really frenemies. Dashing and charming, the girl is at a stable spot in the hierarchy of the school, and she doesn't have any desire to rise or fall.

▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▀▀▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀
Blood is thicker than water, though

a n c e s t r y ;; "Twenty five percent Scottish, fifty percent Chinese, and twenty five percent French." Her mother is Chinese and her father is part Scottish and part French. 'Nuff said.

blood lines ;; "My mother, my father, my sister." Her younger sister is off limits. No boys are allowed to date her if Irene is around. If anyone so much as hurts a hair on her head they will pay, dearly, though not in pain. Her sister's name is Cassandra and she's only 14. Don't touch her. Her parents--well, she doesn't care too much. As long as they don't die she'll live, and she knows it.

RIP JAZZY <3

Approximately one year ago, I woke up and said my final goodbyes to the best friend I have ever known. But Jasmine wasn't a human. No... Jasmine was a little tabby cat who showed me the true meaning of unconditional love. She was my muse and because of her, I still write today. RIP Jasmine Veronica. You have been missed terribly, even if we only had two years together and I will always remember you.
