Dear Diary,
When i woke up, we were at the shore. We were at the house that the McNairs lived in before the twins were born. It's very nice and has a large basement with at least five small beds down there. I am guessing they used to have a lot of maids. Dustin crashed in the living room after driving most of the way here, and then woke up to go get wood for the fire with Caleb. I was braiding Ethel and Camilla's dolls' hair when they returned. "Ships!" I overheard Caleb say to Mary and Annette. "Large ships coming towards the dock!" about a kilometer away from where we were staying was a wharf, and the ships were obviously headed there. I was right. Two ships, smaller than the boys thought arrived at the dock around 3:30pm, but it was too dark and cloudy to tell he exact time. They held people, people of unknown backgrounds escaping something or someone. We took in five of the seventy people to sleep down stairs and Annette is having me sleep with Dustin. Maybe if Dustin does like me, I will accept to be his girlfriend. In the past few days, I've grown close to this family and he closer I get, the better I get to know Dustin. Currently, Bruno, the dog, is sitting like a statue at the end of our bed watching me. Dustin is asleep, totally tuckered out.
I'm going to investigate these people who came here
