hello! this is my corner for storing the writing pieces of my form for the kiamara above.
to keep my form from being a mile long and to avoid having unnecessary coding complications, i'd like to put my writing here.
hope you enjoy reading!

the emptiness of space

Postby darkenedmammal » Wed Dec 10, 2014 10:54 am

favorite planet's why:
although it's not some planet made entirely of diamond,
or one where there are dogs without noses,
it's definitely his favorite. he enjoys the quiet solitude upon it,
even though he's surrounded by others, the memories of others.
the success and the joy and the thrill as
the first man stepped on the moon, as many others visited later.
even though they walk the moon no more,
they're footsteps are engraved upon the land
both literally and figuratively.
etranger enjoys looking at the earth from far away,
and observing the planets beautiful nature peacefully spinning,
hiding away the troubles that lurk when you go closer.
he adores the way it's just him and his star,
walking on a gray surface,
the only paint upon a canvas, unique and singular.
he loves the way he can spill out every secret he has,
and it'll still be a secret because there's no one
but his friend upon it's surface,
listening to him voicing his little treasures.
whenever etranger has too much time,
is simply stressed out or having a bad time,
he visits the moon to relax and unwind,
to murmur his troubles to an invisible wind and
let them float away into the endless depths of space.
favorite constellation's why:
etranger adores the gemini constellation, who's name means 'twins'.
he likes to think of him and his star friend when he see's it.
it reminds him of how they'll always be together,
like the eternal twins hidden high up in the sky.
of how their relationship is endless,
like the stretches of space, and how they'll grow ever closer.
he sees the stars as one twin
holding the other's hand and leading him.
he loves the way how that relates to how his dear star tends to
guide his mind when it scatters and is distracted,
to lead him to his goal and through dark nights
after he has had a particularly bad nightmare,
and feels as if he's lost in the infinite limits of space.
to ironically ground him,
without stopping him at all.
he loves gemini because he see's him and his star, and he knows
he'll be found in the stars long past his time,
hidden among the eternal twins
alongside his companion.

the planet's core / half one

Postby darkenedmammal » Thu Dec 18, 2014 10:54 am

dreams:

      number one: wings of stardust
he was walking, deep within the tumbling depths of his mind he had a
need, an urge, a sense of anticipation for which the reason it existed
escaped his thoughts, sitting at the tip of his tongue but never
allowing him to grasp it. within his bones he felt a sense of weariness,
as if he had been walking for ages now. suddenly, out of the the infinite
emptiness he heard a voice, who spoke sweetly, softly, but had a
hidden tone of mischief. 'where are you going?' it questioned, but it
seemed more like a demand. he did not stop his walking but turned
his head to face the owner of the voice. a being of creamy light,
which was incredibly bright but calming to look at greeted him.
its form took the shape of what seemed like a wolf, but from it's
back sprouted elegant feathered wings which seemed to go on and
on without end. he stared into the being's eyes which were a quiet
empty white. 'i don't know.' he replied finally, turning back to
focus on his path. on the horizon, he could see a minuscule line of
pitch black, he felt drawn to it and turned the angle of his almost
jogging pace towards it. 'then, who are you?' the being questioned
again. 'i'm questioning that topic' he murmured, avoiding the being's
eyes as if he was ashamed or guilty. 'a stranger then. a stranger to
all, including himself' the being supplied, her voice held the tone
of one when they said something was good enough, but just barely.
'well then little beast, tell me, what is your goal?' it ordered. he
obeyed, 'my goal is to find what my goal truly is.' he fully understood
the irony of the statement, he was not lacking in intelligence. 'fine
little beast. then tell me what kind of person you are.' it pried for
details. 'i am a being of knowledge, i cannot stand ignorance.
it irritates me to see others bully those who cannot stand up
for themselves, so i tend to do it for them. i am a traveler,
i tend to avoid becoming close to others due to always leaving
and moving around. most creatures can't stand my attitude,
and thus i have few friends but i treasure the ones i do have.'
he went on, almost rambling, why he told a stranger the details
of his life he did not know. something in the beings voice tempted
him to reveal the smaller points of his existance. 'well then little
beast, or should i say the traveling stranger, the being who helps
without asking for even a thanks before disappearing. it seems like
on the path to finding your goal, you've already found it.' it spoke,
floating a bit behind, it allowed him to ponder over it's words.
confusion blossomed in his mind, but before he could come to a
conclusion it asked him another question. 'what is your name,
little beast.' it seemed to whisper into his ear. he saw now that
the pitch black line on the horizon was a pit, a void so to say,
of complete darkness, infinite and empty. it reminded him of space.
'i can't decide on that.' he said hoarsely, feeling exhausted as he came
to a stop at the edge of the void. 'well then little beast, this journey is
over. so, where are you going now?' the words were accompanied by
the softest, the gentlest of pushes, one that no one would have noticed
except for the one that was pushed.
      and then he fell forwards.

      number two: the infinite universe
he, no, etranger padded slowly, his mind focused and determined.
his steps were laced with confidence, just bordering on arrogance.
'well then little beast, can you answer my questions now?' a voice spoke.
it was the being, but now, it's voice was malicious and cruel. judging
him with every word he spoke. he sat down neatly, back straight and
tail curled around his front paws. he looked forward, his eyes glinting
with a clear goal in the black orbs. 'where are you going now?' it
demanded, almost snarling. 'i'm going to close pandora's box.'
he replied, his voice calm and level. he was sure, serious,
unbreaking, a pillar of clear striking knowledge. the being's once
elegant wings snapped open, revealing tatters and holes. it stalked
over to him, until it was right in his face. 'who are you' it hissed,
now desperately to receive the same confusion as the first time
it spoke those words. 'i am the traveling helper, the stranger
that comes and goes, never to be thanked or truly known, i am
etranger and you cannot scare me.' his voice was liquid smooth,
and the ferocity of the tone in his retaliation matched the fury
the being held in it's own voice. 'well then, stranger, what
do they call you, if no one knows who you are.' it snapped with a
smirk, obviously smug that it'd stump him then. 'etranger, in my
travels i visited a wonderful planet called earth. there they have a
language called french, and a companion of mine mentioned to me
the word stranger within it. fitting my persona perfectly, i took it
upon as my name. the mysterious alien that almost none know the
details of his life, traveling the cosmos, it really is fitting, am i
wrong?' he teased, knowing his words would infuriate the being.
'fine then stranger, if i cannot best you now, i will best you later.'
the world collapsed, the infinite white turning to black.
      his eyes snapped open.
it was time to start the day.

the planet's core / half two

Postby darkenedmammal » Sat Dec 20, 2014 2:55 pm

history:

part one: the royal babe (age 1 - 8)
their voices were quiet, almost whispers, settled around a sleeping child.
the boy couldn't have been older than two years old, yet already the parents discussed his future. "i wonder, maybe he'll grow up to be a scholar of some sorts, and bring mind blowing revolutions to our clan." the father murmured, his eyes glowing with pride. 'perhaps he'll be a scientist, and study the mysterious reality that which we exist within.' the mother grinned, imagining already all the mischief her toddler would be up to. as their boy shifted in his slumber, they exited outside the room to avoid waking him up after they had spent hours getting the child to sleep. 'yes, i believe our little oscar will have a wonderful destiny.' the father finished, the two adults retreated to their own bedroom to get some rest.

to most, oscar's life would seem absolutely perfect.
his parent's were a duke and duchess, with his mother marrying into royalty with his father. he had a relatively luxurious life, with a large home in which he could spend hours upon hours exploring to his heart's content. but it was not as easy as it seemed on the surface. his father had high expectations for his only son, and expected him to not only meet those expectations, but to excel at them. his mother, in contrast, simply wanted her son to be happy in life and to follow his heart. their opposing points of view often drove them to arguments, which the young boy often listened on, which lead him to follow a life of solitude, preferring his own company to others, something that lingers within his heart this very day.

oscar zveriator was a bright and curious child.
even when he was small, he would often question everything, prying for details on end until he was satisfied with what he knew. he was curious in almost every subject and manner, and he adored listening to stories, whether they be fact or fiction. when he was a child, oscar could often be found in the family's library, reading book upon book without ever seeming to stop. the boy adored the library, and knew every nook and cranny of it. if you were trying to find a book, oscar would hunt it down effortlessly for you, alongside supplying information about the plot and author of the book. he held his love for books and tales close to his heart, and still does.

school was not the funnest part of oscar's life.
he didn't struggle all too much in his studies, he was a slightly above average student. the part he did not enjoy was connecting with other students, most found him unapproachable due to his analytic nature, or expected him to be a total snob due to his family's social status. the biggest challenge of school was finding friends with whom he could be himself without fearing that they'd abandon him or betray him. he found a dear friend in his classmate, silencia, a shy girl who enjoyed having someone who was just as informed about books as she was to speak with. although the two eventually broke their friendship when they went on to pursue other things in their lives, for oscar, she was all he needed to be happy.
part two: dreams of infinity (age 9 - 15)
by the time he was ten, oscar's eyes turned from the pages of his books to the skies above.
he constantly studied astronomy, and was fascinated by the infinite amount of different planets, solar systems and galaxies that the unending depths of space contained. he began submerging himself in studies of the engineering of spacecrafts and of the realm above the atmosphere. he knew somewhere deep in his heart that was where he belonged, although he didn't truly realize it until years later.

as he grew with age, so did his dislike of school.
instead of just being without friends, he began to get treated badly as the other students realized he wasn't as confident or strong as they though he was. he was the last one to be picked for games, left out and excluded in most things and worst of all he was bullied. bullied by those who picked on those who could not stand up for themselves. teased and punished for things out of his control like his family and his physical size, alongside how gentle and quiet he was. he grew even more withdrawn, and eventually even pulled away from his only friend silencia. he spent his later year of education harshly serious and alone, mistrusting anyone willing to show him kindness.

as all other teenagers, he worried of the future.
his perception changed, he no longer dreamed of knights in shining armor and princesses in distress. he took a keen eye to the real heroes, the people who made the world what it was. whilst other children and adolescents focused on themselves, seeking fame and status, oscar preferred to help out others. he took on a part time job in a large library where he could work among the things he adored to read while helping others learn of the wonderful world of books.
part three: blossoming hero (age 16 - 20)
at age seventeen, oscar decided to get his own spacecraft.
finally deciding that he would follow his interest in astronomy and space, he set his sight on a ship. being promoted at his job at the library from part time to full time, he spent much of his free time either studying for his classes or searching for new manners to earn a little spare change. he applied several times to different organizations dedicated to space travel and exploration. his heart soared when he was accepted into one finally, but only on the decision that they would only fund him if he graduated with a degree in engineering.

oscar graduated from a major university with a degree in literature and engineering.
focusing on his studies, oscar improved from above average to excelling, managing to graduate with two degrees, one that he needed and one that he wanted. alongside the students of his class, he went through his right of passage at age eighteen through graduation. the night of his graduation, after all the celebrations had settled down, oscar uneasily slumbered, it was at this point that the first dream detailed in the post above occurred, giving life to doubts and questions in the young adult's mind. he woke up that morning tired and confused.

spending a month preparing, the day he would take his first flight seemed like it would never arrive.
his heart raced in anticipation, a simple flight it would be, to make sure he was ready for more advanced travel. just to a nearby orbiting space rock. everything went well and he was approved for further travels, on the account that he would report back in after certain amounts of time had passed. oscar's mind was filled with both excitement, curiosity and fear at that point in his life, but he would soon see where his path of life was leading him.

two years later, oscar met his dearest friend and companion nebulis.
to this day he questions why she stayed, but does not voice his concerns. after saving the star from what would've been a sure death, she followed him for reasons she keeps to herself. the two grew very close over time and adore each others company. it is in this time traveling together that oscar changed his name to etranger, becoming the traveling stranger who helps without as much as a thanks given in return. and he's fine with that.
    part four: pandora's destiny (age 21 - 25)
it wasn't typical for etranger to visit a planet for much longer than a month or two.
reporting in on a timely manner, etranger wasn't tardy or irresponsible. visiting such a variety of civilizations, at age twenty one, three years after he began traveling his home planet acknowledged him in the manner of naming him their ambassador, with the task of establishing trade routes and alliances with whom he saw fit and with those who wished to do so. although etranger at first found his new responsibility stressful and challenging, with his star nebulis close by, etranger learned to manage the job with ease.

the next year, he had the second dream.
his subconscious finally allowed him to realize that what he had been doing while mindlessly wandering through space, was what he wanted to do. he found that helping others be happy made him happy too. now traveling the cosmos searching to close pandora's box, with nebulis' support he found his own happiness in the sea of those who he had already visited. the morning of his dream, he smiled a grin full of absolute innocent joy.

not too long after, he stumbled upon earth, a planet which is now one of his favorites.
easily learning latin, and english following that, etranger became absorbed in earth's culture, learning as much as he could. exploring the planet, he met chronos, who in exchange for setting up a trade route now funds his adventures on earth. etranger soon found that he adored spending time on earth's moon, enjoying the absolute silence and freedom he could have whilst upon it. at age twenty five he met zaira and found one of his most preferred places to visit on his stays on earth. and etranger found that his life would be pretty alright from then on.

how they met:

          putting the ship into stasis,
etranger looked out the window and smiled. he looked on at the nearby nebula, enjoying the eye opening view. he had found the nebula whilst leaving the last planet he had visited. feeling weary from all that had occurred during his visit, his day certainly had improved when he saw it. he didn't know just yet exactly how much his life would improve by choosing to sight see. out of the corner of his eye he saw something shining brightly, moving at a rapid pace. he took no note of it until it crossed his direct vision. some sort of vaguely five pointed shape was hurtling itself towards the meteorite he had landed the ship on. focusing more closely, he now realized it was a small star. pulling on his space suit he ran outside, the star was hurtling itself at quite a speed, and surely would be severely damaged upon impact. he dove, being propelled across rough ground as he caught the star in his arms. he kept his eyes slammed shut for a few moments before realizing he had stopped moving. he looked down at the softly glowing star in his paws, it's glow uneven, at times bright at times dark. suddenly, not unlike a generator starting up, its shine grew and etranger had to squint for a moment. it flew out of his paws, floating cautiously just above him. he stood up, gave a soft nod and began to head inside his ship again.

he gave a shout of protest as the star followed him.
"that's it, you're safe now, you can go! no need for thanks or anything like that." he almost growled. before he could close the airlock door on the star, it was already inside. "fine. you want to stay? you can stay. just don't bother me." he decided, shaking his ruffled hair as he slipped off the helmet. starting up the ships engines he turned back to the star, "last chance to go, because i'm not staying." almost as if in stubborn reply, the star landed neatly on the console, and seemed to face him. it was clear it wasn't leaving. whilst he took off, it took most of his concentration to keep his eyes from straying over to the little glowing being. this was going to be a long flight.

going in the general direction of his next destination, he set the ship on autopilot.
giving a long yawn, he tumbled off to the small bedroom he called his own. he slept uneasily, tossing and turning for hours until he finally yelped and sat up in a cold sweat. in the dark, closed in room, he felt claustrophobic. his eyes slipped over to an anomaly in the space, the star. glowing quietly, softly, as if it was asleep itself, it lay at the foot of his bed. his heart rate slowed down, and he felt like there was lead in his limbs. slowly the star floated over to him, nestling itself in between his paws against his chest. "you know, if you plan on sticking around, i can't just call you 'the star' forever." he whispered, not expecting any form of reply. he thought of the amazing nebula he had met the star at and murmured, "nebulis" slurring slightly at the end. he didn't notice the star shimmering just an little bit brighter at the sound of it's new name, for he was already asleep. and they both knew everything would be alright.
          fin.
why she stayed:

it took a single look at the way he silently left without any manner of thanks for her to decide.
after he had saved her, nebulis followed him partially because she owed him, and partially because she couldn't help but feel some sort of maternal beckoning at the questioning and doubtful look in his eyes as he left. at the way he attempted to push her away without even introducing himself and instantly leaving, she knew she wanted to learn more about this alien stranger. that 'night', when he woke up from a nightmare, it simply felt natural for her to comfort him, acting as a pseudo nightlight. and as they traveled together either in silence or in chatter, she knew that it was where she wanted to be.
