"Yeah, well you thought wrong. Get used to it." Crypt stared at the speaker, a brown-ish wolf who he'd never talked to before. He prepared to issue an angry reply when a quiet voice interrupted.
"Ignore him. Mud has... problems." Crypt looked up at the owner of the voice: Four, a skinny she-cat who had become deputy in Claw's place - Crypt had no idea why. "He can't stand pups. Here, I want to tell you something." Crypt moved to walk beside her as the mud gave way to concrete. "I found this place, I even lived here for a while. The pack will be safe." Crypt noticed, with slight misgivings, that she didn't say 'we'. "You and I, however, need to leave." She broke off as Moono, a lanky male wolf, pushed past her.
"What do you mean?" demanded Crypt.
Four sighed sadly. "The new headquarters are much smaller than our old ones. There won't be separate sections for cadets and warriors. You'll all be together. And if you insist on annoying every wolf you meet-" she nodded politely to Mud "- you'll soon make dangerous enemies."
Crypt nodded. He understood.
"So," he grinned. "When are we leaving?"

So. Welcome to my story. I hope you enjoyed the first chapter. I'm now going to tell you about the characters.
Crypt is a pale-coloured, slightly albino wolf with red eyes, who is the hero of this story.
Four, as you probably guessed, is my fursona. She's skinny, a brownish/red colour, with grey-blue eyes. More about her will come.
Here's my first pic of her. She's really rather pretty.
Mud and Moono are background characters.
Keni, as wonderfully supplied by Tigresse's Dwarf, is male, and a Vajan rider. He's a major character.
Saroch and Saire (full name Sairean) are siblings, Vajan riders and minor characters.
