I’ve just finished my first revision of my first official novel. I am hoping to submit it to a publisher sometime this year. I’m looking for 2-5 more beta readers before I give it another pass and send it to prospective publishing houses.
My only requirement for beta readers is that they’re interested, at least a little, in the premise or genre :3
Synopsis:
Set in a fictionalized version of the American West, two sisters embark on a train voyage across the nation’s proudest mountain. En route, one of them seemingly vanishes into thin air. This story follows both of their journeys, and the taming of the West long before them. As inspired by Murder on the Orient Express as it is by the real history of the Rocky Mountains, step into another world in Solus.
Inquiries:
Please send an email to solusnovel@gmail.com if you’re interested in reading. Please post any questions you may have to this thread, for the benefit of others who may be wondering the same!
Other Notes:
The book, in its current state, is 25 chapters with an epilogue. I will be sending readers the story in small installments of ~5 chapters at a time.
This keeps it more manageable for everyone involved: you’re free to stop reading at any point, for any reason, and I’m able to see where and when people lose interest or the pacing is lacking.
(A personal note: chickensmoothie was a huge springboard for my middle school and early high school writing. I actually made an online friend much later in life who remembered some very early writing I shared on the forum here <3 so I’m grateful for any interest and any feedback I receive here. Thank you for being such a supportive artistic community!!) (I am not saying that the early writing was good or noteworthy LOL don’t go hunting for it
