[ Training is hard ]
Mia held the terrarium in her hand. The glowing getting brighter and more vibrant, Mia smiled and opened her eyes, though the glowing then fizzled and popped, disappearing. Mia growled and put her terrarium down, sighing, walking to her couch, laying down and closing her eyes. "Why can I not get it done correctly?" She sighed rubbing her forehead. Mia got up and clapped her hands together "There's only one way to get it right, and that is to keep practicing." She stood up, grabbed her terrarium and sat crossed legged on the ground and closed her eyes. "Feel the magic flow through you, from the brain, to the neck, to your arms, through your hands and-" she paused "Release!" She opened her eyes to see her terrarium glimmering and sparkling brightly, the brilliant light was a dazzling pink and light blue, swirling and sparkling in her hands. Mia gasped, "I did it! I did it!" This was a basic training tool to allow her to turn her terrarium into a 'glowstick', but after this came the hard part. She was meant to summon her wisps help to guide her through danger and trouble. Though harnessing the powers of the wisps was no easy deal.
Mia woke up the next morning with a groggy stare to her old wood ceiling as the trees around her household squeaked and creaked from side to side. She lived on her own at 16 because she had a parental guardian that came to look after her every once and a while. Though the rules were also different out there as the small town was very close to her small log cabin. Mia stretched and scratched her head smiling out the window at the busy, loud town. She got up and got ready for the day by brushing her teeth and making breakfast for herself, then getting ready to start training again, but this time by the town close to the river. Her town was small, and almost everyone used magic, even if it was as simple as the dishes cleaning themselves, or live objects. Though she wasn't too interested in there kind of magic, as she was concentrating on her own. Mia waved and greeted the other kalons but continued quickly on her own way. She reached the river and the fresh smell wafted through the air. She sat down on the green flowing grass full of flowers and bushes, which she than smiled after a butterfly landed on her nose, giving her a tickle feeling. Mia held her terrarium and took a deep breath closing her eyes. She had to start practicing with her eyes open, so she attempted the 'glowstick' trick again but watched the terrarium this time. She held the terrarium tightly, staring at the swirling portal inside, feeling the magic flow through her fingertips, to the terrarium, of course the power source being the portal inside. The Magic now concentrated, it formed a glow coming from her terrarium, she gasped and smiled brightly at the fact she had done it. "Yes I did it! I did it again!" Now her task was to summon the wisps herself. Mia looked into the portal and whispered "oh will-'o-the-wisps, if you are granting me permission to use your great and ancient power, I would like to learn more from you. Now please, I ask for your respect at continuing my training, if I have proven myself worthy." And the orb glowed like a brilliant ball of pink fire, almost like a mini sun, and then, she disappeared taking her terrarium with her, to an ancient realm where she could learn more, and more about these powers she has found in the terrarium.
She woke up to a bright pink and blue light, changing colour every few minutes. Mia was amazed by what she was seeing, it was absolutely gorgeous, the trees were over 100 metres tall, with brilliant lush vines, moss and mushrooms clinging to the roots and up the tree. The smells were breathtaking and she could barely grasp what she was entirely seeing. All the magical creatures fated to either be extinct or not exist we're roaming around like it was a regular thing. She heard the wisps cry and followed the noise, and where it was coming from. As she followed them she heard sounds like the sounds from the jungle, sounds of bugs, chirping, snapping, creaking and animal noises. Mia continued on her way, though it seemed to be getting late in that place and fairies seemed to be like the fireflies there, even though they were out during the day. The stars shown brighter here and didn't have any of the regular constellations, and the moon seemed different from the other side, almost like looking at it through a puddle. The grass and brush felt soft between her paws and he paw pads seemed to sink into the pillow-like earth, calming her entirely. The bark felt rough but soft at the same time the creases and crooks feeling odd and thick. It almost seemed like she was in an alternate universe, or realty, trying to reach her goal, which was to see where the wisps were leading her.
Mia gasped, as an old, old oak tree was standing in front of her, rooted deeply into this old planet and overgrown with vines, leaves, mushrooms and weeds. It seemed to be alive. The problem though, was that it was alive. It was breathing steadily and roughly as she stood there, like an old man. Mia saw the wisps sitting on the old trees branches. It looked like the oak tree was smiling and laughing gruffly at the wisps actions. Mia smiled as the great tree started speaking, he sounded wise and old, "Young Mia, I've heard a lot about you from the will-'o-the-wisps. They are expecting much greatness from you, and for that I am proud, as the wisps don't take a liking to others too often, straying them of the good path." He sighed, then chuckled "These rascals, so hard to deal with." Mia smiled, laughing with him. "Thank you wise old tree. I will return home and study hard." And with that, Mia woke up in her room, in her bed.
"Was that a dream?" She paused "A dream come to reality."
