celeste is an upbeat, happy kalon overall. she loves cheering kalons up when they're down, or just cheering them up when they're happy! she loves kits, and is excited to have her own someday with the love of her life, aiko. celeste isn't usually in a bad mood, but she almost never gets mad. even when she gets mad, it's usually calm anger for some guy who doesn't care about the environment.

what is your kalon’s first, middle, and last name (if they have one)?
celeste grace bluebell!

does your kalon have a human appearance as well? if so, what do they look like?
yes!! celeste is quite short, has long, brown hair, and is quite pale. she keeps her black scleras and white eyes, giving her a little bit of a spooky appearance. she stays in shape only because she is always up and about trying to water her plants. she does have both arms missing, but has an old prosthetic she decorated with flowers she uses on one arm. she wears cute dresses sometimes, but her casual wear is shorts and a tank top. it's hard to wear jackets, so she finds the cutest vests she can if it's cold outside! celeste is nearly always found with some sort of flowers adorning her hair.

does you kalon have any family members? if so, blood related or adopted?
yes, all blood relatives. celeste has her mom sage, her dad finn, along with two other siblings!

who is your kalon the closest too? why?
celeste will always be closest to her mom. she loves being able to go to her for advice, or a good time. or motivation. they have such a close bond, sage can tell when something is wrong. celeste will always come to sage for guidance, leaving her small cabin in the woods to trek out to sage's cabin. the way celeste was raised also played a large part, despite her upbeat and caring attitude, celeste was teased about her missing limbs all through kindergarten. it really put a damper on her mood. sage always helped celeste do what're she couldn't, including helping her walk on two legs as a kit.

what sort of occupation does your kalon have? do they enjoy it?
celeste owns a small flower shop in a friendly little town. she tends to her herbs and plants, selling them to the nice kalons that live in the town. she loves spending her whole day, talking with the residents and arranging flowers. locals love her shop, celeste always provides free sugar cookies for patrons. she loves to play with the little kits and put flowers on their hair.

list some of your kalons likes and dislikes and give an explanation as to why.
likes

she loves the smells and the beauty of the delicate little petals!
- social interaction!
celeste thinks that talking and being apart of what's happening is a crucial thing to do! you never know what will happen. you could go down in history, or just meet a new friend!
- scented candles!!
she loves the way they warm the room, enveloping you in a gentle aura of pleasant smells! the way the flames flicker and bobble is so fun to watch, not to mention blowing them out when it's time to go out! celeste would always make a wish when she blew them out as a kid, making her mom sage angry because she blew out all the candles.

dislikes
- being teased.
celeste doesn't like being ridiculed for her loss of limbs. it was something she had no control over, and sometimes feels very embarrassed because of that.
- dead things!
things like roadkill, weeds, and dead flowers make celeste sad. dead animals mean someone's carelessness on the road, resulting in a loss of life. weeds are a sign of parasitic death and hurt. and dead flowers mean someone let the flowers die by neglecting them.

what is your kalons biggest weakness and strength?
celeste' biggest weakness is her lacking of limbs. it makes it hard to do basic things, and she often requires assistance. her biggest strength is her ability to stay positive and persevere. her favorite saying is 'tomorrow is another day.'

write about a time when your kalon(s) lost something important to them:

silence.
kat adjusted her glasses, the thin black frames sliding down her nose. she was sweating, large ears lowering in hesitation as she peered around. dark cave walls seemed to be closing in on her, and she turned her head at a small patter noise behind her. nothing was there. you're scarin' yourself, kat. calm down. her black boots crunched on the gritty soil. the cave was huge- small patches of golden light shafted from the top, sparsely illuminated the ground. rock shelves cast long shadows, setting an ominous tone in the dark cave. kat switched on the red light on her headlamp, stretching her neck to look for any dark shadows on the cave roof. you know wha' to do. find the bats. white nose. simple. kat's shoulders relaxed when she spotted a cluster of furry brown shapes roosting above her. the red light only slightly roused he bats, shuffling their hairless wings in unison. the ripple of movement made the mass look like a single body. kat squinted her eyes, head tilting in confusion as she watched the figures seem to merge together. suddenly there was silence. no more small snuffles or squeaks from the brown bodies. it seemed to be a single brown thing. kat stepped back on shaking legs, head dizzy with confusion. the silence was broken with a small at first, quickly crescendoing into a huge, echoing screech. the brown figure turned, revealing a grotesque, spotted snarling face. kat yelped, spinning on her heels and sprinting back the way she came. the creature gave a bone chilling cry, and jumped down beside kat. it's face contorted into a sly, demented grin. the yellow teeth and red eyes could scare the devil himself. kat's mouth opened to scream. the creature's grin widened. kat's voice choked on her throat, and her hands flew up to her face. she opened her mouth wider, shutting her eyes and squeezing them shut. no, no, NO! kat opened her eyes, face watery from a small tear running down her nose. the creature was gone, and kat tried to cry out. even attempting to make a noise made her choke. she coughed silently, throat aching from the firey burn of trying to make sound. she scrambled to her feet, body fatigued with terror. her body shook as she turned and ran to where she thought was out. out of this wretched cave.

do they keep promises, or break them? why?
kat tries. she doesn't keep all of her promises, but she does her best when she can!
are they a leader, follower, or loner? why?
loner. kat dislikes having all the attention on her as a leader, yet still doesn't like to have to follow. it's just easier and faster if she works alone, having maybe one friend to help her when she needs someone.
if they could change one thing in their past, what would it be and why?
the day she lost her voice. when she walked into that cave to help the oddly acting bats, she wasn't prepared in the least for loosing her voice. present time, she uses mostly tail movements and sign language as a human.
do they care what others think of them? why or why not?
yes. definitely. kat is easily scared, and easily embarrassed. she hates being teased or laughed at! her ears are especially sharp, and can pick up very small noises. if someone's talking about her, behind her back, she'll hear most of it. and kat is not tough. she'll crumble like a burnt cookie.
do they tend to argue with others or do they avoid conflict?
avoid conflict. kat tries to keep out of the way, tending to herself.
are they more spontaneous, or are they the type that always needs a plan?
kat always needs a plan. she will think of the most rational approach to the problem, usually overthinking the situation.
do they have any quirks, mannerisms, habits, or other defining characteristics?
kat has an odd habit of keeping one paws' claws long, so when she walks, you only hear one paw click.

kat clutched the red bandana to her cheek. dust rose from the old toys and magazines scattered about the tables. the flimsy yard sale sign flopped over onto the dying grass. " you sure I can 'ave it? " kat squeaked, large ears twitching with delight. the old kalon sitting at the garage sale booth chuckled. " sure, kid. just gotta give me fifty cents. " the small kalons ears fell and she looked away. her ears perked when she felt a reassuring pat on her head. kat looked up to see a tall kalon, looking down at her with a smile. kat quickly found herself looking at the kalon's forepaws- but thee were none! only small, clean stumps. puzzled, kat looked into the strangers friendly, bright eyes. her grin was as shiny as her eyes, and she looked extremely friendly. kat grinned when she saw the red cloth hanging from one of the kalon's long tails. " r-really? " she said, eyes glittering when they strayed to the strangers happy eyes. " yeah honey! " her voice was charming, and her laugh was mesmerizing. " i'm celeste, " the tall kalon said, lowering her tail and giving kat the bandana. kat beamed. " i'm kat! " she cried. the little kit took the red bandana in her teeth, quickly tying it around her neck. it was huge on her, but kat yelped happily and nuzzled celeste's leg. celeste smiled at the kit, then took two quarters from her pocket and handing them to the old kalon.

prompt: kat grew up in a poorish neighborhood in a small town. she had no siblings, and grew up on her own. she didn't really get to see much of the world, she was always stuck on her tiny little island world. being stuck like this pushed her to travel as she got older, sending her into every small crevice to explore. if you want to name on thing you haven't done, kat will bet $5 she's done it. even though she has been so many places, seen so many things, and done so many cool things, kat loves to watch the ocean. when she's not running around someplace on the globe, she's either sleeping or watching the waves. the ocean has always been a place of calmness for her, a shoulder that's always there to lean on.

where do they live and what is the geography like?
kat lives on the east coast of a small island in the atlantic. it's an island filled with forests I created for kat! she loves being near the beautiful ocean all the time, and finds the constant crash of the waves soothing. there are mostly rolling hills and rivers in the woods by her house. the trees are tall and luscious, most growing fruit or berries. although being born on this beautiful island, kat finds it hard to stay in one place for a prolonged amount of time. she is almost always travelling or in a hotel somewhere around the globe!
what is the society like there, is there a hierarchy?
no. the ruling is a democracy.
what kind of technology does the world possess: modern, medieval, fantasy, etc.?
mostly all of the technology is modern!
do many or only a few people live here?
the island isn't very urban, most of the kalons living there live slow and rural happy lives. the island has a few smaller neighborhoods, but the largest 'town' is where kat lived, with only about 200 residents on the whole island.
is the history the same as our world, or is it different? if different, how?
it's different! I imagine that the kalons who discovered the land didn't fight as often or with such bloody warfare all the time. I think it would be really funny if they all had like fashion shows to see who got the land or something,,,
is your kalon(s) considered lower, middle, or upper class?
middle class. there isn't really an upper class on this island!
what sort of language(s) is commonly spoken here?
mostly english(kalon language), but there are assorted flavors lmao!!

story behind their name: katjaa is an old greek name that means pure. I personal didn't know this! I chose the name because one of the main characters in the walking dead, season one, is katjaa. she is the traveling medic for the team, and was a veterinarian. my kat is also a traveler, and she works as a veterinarian! it's really funny how the names matched up. for her parents, I would think they named her that because it meant pure. kat likes her name, although she prefers to be called kat.

how many different places have they lived: oh, so many! a few off the top of her head are the outer banks, someplace in greenland, and a small town in russia!
why did they settle down where they are currently: she doesn't really settle down, but if she had to, it would be in the outer banks or somewhere near an ocean.
is there an ideal place they want to live, or are they already there: no! kat loves to see everything she can, so she's always travelling. her ideal place, though, is always near the ocean!
what are the biggest moments that have defined their life: growing up in a smaller town and not being able to see most of the world made her into the traveler she is today! loosing her voice really dampened her want to socialize,and she's a bit of a recluse now :(
does their future have a bright or darker outlook, and can they change it: it's as bright as it can be! she doesn't have anything bad in the future, and she's looking for a little bit of romance<3
