April CS Pet Pair Spotlight [aquamarine]

Postby CalicoWolf » Thu Apr 26, 2012 2:18 am

The following is an Easter letter I've written (in story form) to my best friend Quinn, who died on October 27, 2011.
ImageImage

Dear Quinn,

Happy Easter, baby! Today has brought so many memories to my mind...and so many tears to my eyes.

Do you remember in 8th grade, when we decided to spontaneously have our own Easter egg hunt in your backyard? We thought, "Why let the little kids have all the fun? We'll host the best Easter egg hunt this city's ever seen!" Just another one of your crazy ideas that I got dragged into.
We must have spent HOURS buying candy, plastic eggs, baskets, decorations, etc. Our moms were so mad when they found out how much money we had spent. But it was all worth it, wasn't it?

Then came the guest list. Should we invite my little sister and her friends? What about your older sister? No way would she want to go. What about the kids from school? Which ones would come and which ones were just laugh it off and tease us for being stupid.
In the end, we just decided to have everyone come! My sister brought three friends, we invited about 10 of our friends from school, and even your sister brought her boyfriend!
By that time, we had come to the conclusion that if we were going to have more than 10 people participate in the hunt, there was no way your tiny little backyard would be enough space? So my mom said, "Why not hold it in the park across the street from our house?"

It was decided. The next couple days were spent mapping and charting out where to hide each and every egg, how many eggs we would hide, how much candy to put in each egg, the time limits, the boundaries, what to put in the extra-large plastic bunny rabbit that would serve as the hidden jackpot...you slept over that night and we fell asleep at 3am. We could barely lift ourselves out of bed the next morning!

But eventually, we managed to pull each other out of the house. We each took a backpack with candy-filled eggs, maps and water bottles. It was Easter morning, around 8 o'clock and we set off towards the park to "hide the loot" as you called it.

By 10 o'clock, the eggs were hidden and my house was full of eager people. As it turned out, your sister's boyfriend had brought along his little brother, who had brought along two friends of his own. You and I looked at each other; it was a good thing we had decided at last minute to buy and hide extra eggs!

The hunt started at 11 o'clock. Immediately, alliances were formed and everyone made a mad dash to find their eggs. Screams of triumph could be heard throughout the entire neighborhood as eggs were discovered. We sat back in the grass, watching the chaos enfold, and grinned at each other. We had hidden the eggs in trees, bushes, gopher holes, buried them in the grass, stuck them behind rocks, in every little place imaginable.

The hunt ended after about an hour, and everyone returned to the starting point, sweaty, exhausted, faces streaked with dirt, but satisfied with their findings. Suddenly, one of my sister's friends shouted out, "Wait! What about the jackpot bunny? Did anyone find it?"

Confused glances were shared across the group; it seemed as though no one had been able to discover our hidden treat. You looked at me questioningly and I nodded. Ever so slowly, you pulled a giant, candy-filled rabbit out from behind the rock we had been leaning against.
"Oops. Looks like we forgot to hide it." you said, shrugging innocently.

Within seconds, people had opened their eggs and were pelting you and I with jelly beans. Everyone was laughing as we shrieked and ran back to the house for safety. Everyone gathered in my backyard for an Easter barbecue that our dads had set up and the rest of the day was filled with eating, laughing, and an endless supply of chocolate.

Anyways, I was just remembering that today. It's one of my favorite memories I have of us together.
I miss you so much, Quinners. I think about you every second of every day and hope that you're thinking of me, too.
Please continue to watch me from heaven, and smile down on me.

You meant more to me than you'll ever know, and I love you more than words can describe.

Love always, your best friend forever ♥

April Store Dog Reviews [Star Girl]

The new store pets are here!

These pets are beautiful. The colors are mostly neutral with splashes of brighter colors. I absolutely love the style of the pets and the texture. They are all very well designed. I absolutely love the swirls on the pets.

My favorite has to be the tan, green, brown one with yellow swirls. Maybe it’s just because I absolutely love the color green. It seems like a very happy pet. I Think it looks like a cross bread between a cat and a dog. With the long tail and the pointed ears. Though all of them do really.

The grey with blue is certain an individual from the others. Mostly since all the other pets have swirls but this one has stripes and dots. I love the color blue on this one. It reminds me of a moon.

The black and grey with purple texture reminds me of the way an wave forms. It makes me laugh though since the black mark above its mouth reminds of a mustache. Even though now you’re going to look at it and realize I probably just ruined a part of its beauty pointing it out.

The brown and sea green with auburn is sort of like the gloomy one of the bunch. Unlike the others with a smile this one has a frown. Making it look very serious.

The best thing about these pet seems each pet has its own characteristics. Whether happy, gloomy, or mysterious. So no matter what you will have a pet that fits your style. This is great since chicken smoothie has so many different people who go on this site.

You can buy each pet at the store pets section of the Chicken Smoothie store. Each pet costs $20 chicken dollars. If you want to buy all 4 pets you can buy them at the special section of the Chicken Smoothie store. The bundle pet costs $60 chicken dollars. That is a lot better than having to pay $80 chicken dollars individually bought for all of them.

Your Temporary Store Pet Reviews, Star Girl.

The Heartbroken One and The Oblivious One

"Of course I like you! As a friend, obviously."
"Y-yeah...of course..."

Paige flew in through the door and into her house as fast as the wind. Grabbing her phone off of the kitchen counter, she bolted to her room. I can't believe it! Alex was actually dropping hints that he likes me! Flinging the door open, she quickly scanned around, making sure her pesky brothers weren't hiding inside. Once sure that she was alone, Paige closed the door softly behind her and leapt onto her bed. Pulling out her phone, she began to compose a message to her best friend, Sicily.
Paige: Hey sicily, culd u do me a favor?
Snapping her phone shut again, Paige grabbed the book sitting on her nightstand, one of her old favorites, and began to read while she waited. Thankfully though, it wasn't too long before her phone suddenly pinged. Replacing the book back in its spot, Paige picked up her phone and clicked it open, reading Sicily's response.
Sicily: Sure, wats up?
Carefully concentrating on how she wanted to word her request, Paige began slowly to type.
Paige: Do u think u culd txt alex and ask him if he, ya kno, likes me? Dont tell him i asked u 2!!!!!!!!!
Satisfied with her text that would make a laungauge arts teacher faint, Paige hit send and lay back down, picking up the book from beside her and began to reading again. Moments later, her phone cried out, annoucing that Sicily had replied. Praying Sicily had agreed to help her out, Paige snatched her phone up and read the text.
Sicily: Of course! And y would i ever tell him u asked? ;)
Giddy with excitement, Paige composed her short response.
Paige: Thnx!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Paige once again picked up the worn novel and tried to read, but soon found she couldn't focus in the least on it, and just thumbed the pages between her fingers nervously. She felt as though she could explode with anticipation, checking her phone every few seconds in case for some reason Sicily had texted and it had not gone off. Soon Paige felt like she could bare it no more, and was just about to text Sicily begging to know what was happening, when her phone cheerfully chimed. Grabbing her phone faster than lightning, Paige quickly opened the text.
Sicily: He replied!!!!!!!!!!!
Nearly screaming in utter frustration, Paige swiftly shot back another message.
Paige: WELL WAT DID HE SAY?!?!?!?!?!
Knowing full well that there was no way she could read now, Paige sat up on her bed, placing her phone in front of her, and simply waited, staring down the phone with all the intensity she could muster. Seconds seemed to drag by ten times longer than the last. Reaching back behind herself, Paige grabbed her pillow and gripped it tightly to her chest. Finally, after what seemed like hours, a sweet chiming filled the silence of the room. Paige lunged for her phone, sending her pillow flying in the process. In her hast, she fumbled with the small device for a moment before getting a hold on it. Finally, Paige pushed the few simple buttons that would let her see a few words that could revolutionize her entire life. This could be it, this could be it...
Sicily: O...he said "as a friend"...
Paige wondered if anyone could hear her heart snapping in half. She wouldn't have been surprised if someone could. Numbness washing over her, Paige's body replied to Sicily on auto-pilot.
Paige: O, well thts ok. Thnx!
Far from ok, Paige stood up on shaking legs and walked slowly over to the only window in her room, fighting back the tears that willed to spill out over her cheeks. Staring out into the night sky, she was unable to hold them back.
Alex...why can't you see? I love you...and I have for over two years now.Why must you be so oblivious to my feelings? I love you more than anything...please don't leave me heartbroken...

June Store Pet reviews

Postby CalicoWolf » Thu Apr 26, 2012 2:35 am

It’s time for new store pets!
This month’s store pet were made by Tyr. These pets seem to be horses. Well, sort of horses, I guess you could say their unicorns. But there tail doesn’t really fit the part. Whatever these animal they happen to be they certainly are interesting. I love how amazing their hair looks. And the designs on their coats are beautiful. I don’t agree on their color scheme however. I mean some of the colors are great….just not so together. For example:
Image
The colors just do not really look good together. Of course that’s just my opinion. Though I think the rest of the store pets look marvelous. My favorite one would have to be the black with red green blue and white.
Image
It looks like a rainbow on his pelt! So, since I love rainbows obviously that one has to be my favorite. I also love the lightning bolt. Though, two of them have lightning bolts on them.
That’s all for this month’s store pet review

Immortality! a deal with the devil
ImageImage

"I'd like to live forever." A sweet girl once asked me,
Her face lit up like a star as I told her I could grant this,
she told me how she was in despair and only internal life
would allow her to breath freely.

She was in desperation, and I was her cure. To be with me,
she would be immortal. "You're making a deal with the devil."
My voice said in warning as she spoke, voice chirping,
"But you're not the devil, you're a kind man with a heavy
heart."

She was innocent with no fault that I could abuse, to make
her see. But she was well aware and still decided on
Immortality. She will have time to decide, this process takes
much time.

Every night for a year should would visit me, summon me,
call me, and say her mind is still strong and set. After a
while, I felt a tugging feeling, I was growing quite fond of
this girl. Yet she had nothing to offer but company, but it
was obvious something was wrong.

The night when her wish would be fulfilled, she didn't come.
The day after, I found her body, dead. An angel approached
me by her grave, scoffing, "I've saved another soul." When in
reality, this angel saved nothing, and she was in the place
'Good' souls go. Yet, I could feel her despair, and her tears
fell. The was heavy that night.

She didn't want immortality, she wanted me. And so did I.
