was named after the tom's early mate, stonestar. the two grew very close, and it is rumored that stonestar was the one to help houndstar
find his feelings, and peeled back the shy and effected shell that he had once hid under. when it was discovered that stonestar was expect
ing kits, houndstar's heart finally burst with joy, and perhaps that is what put stonestar to the fate that she was meant to fall to. when the
two were out patrolling, stonestar was bitten in the neck by an adder. houndstar rushed her back to the medicine cat's den, but there was
nothing that could be done. his heart broken for the rest of his life, houndstar ran away, and founded adderclan, named to remember his love.
