What are your favorite and least favorite colors?? Is there a reason?

Nessa wrote wrote:
"My favourite's red, for sure! There's no real reason for
that - no deep backstory or anything. I just really like
warm colours, and it's kinda intense. Least favourite...
Can I just say none of them? All the colours look good
somewhere, even if it's in a pretty small niche.
If I had to choose, though, I'd say brown. It's kinda dull
on its own."
Faolan wrote wrote:
"My favorite color is dark purple. Ever since
I was a young viscet, my mother always
worked from 7:30 am until 10:00 pm seven
days a weeks fifty weeks a year, so I didn't
often see her. Her favorite color was purple,
so she always brought home purple colored foods.
My least favorite color is probably brown because
it's a really dull color, although I like most colors."

Do you have any collections?

"In a way, I guess? I have a whole cabinet
of paint. A lot of it I don't really use, honestly,
and it wasn't even a conscious thing. I just
kept mixing and buying a bunch of different
colours, because they were pretty or I never
saw them anywhere else. But then I realised
I didn't actually need a lot of them, and I didn't
want to waste money by throwing them away,
so I just stuffed them in my room. Now I have
more paint than I'll probably ever use, and I keep
impulse-buying more..."

"Well, I suppose I have a collection of sheet music.
With my job as a musician, I've spent a lot of money on
sheet music. Whether I buy it at music stores, or
online, I have folders and folders of sheet music.
And of course, lyrics and chords as well. I have at
least 3 folders per instrument, and I play a lot of
instruments! I have a cabinet filled with these
folders, and books of music. From classical music
to pop to traditional, I have it all. Although, I
haven't actually played every song yet, and I
really doubt I'll ever get around to it"

Are you allergic to anything?

"I don't have any real allergies - thank goodness!
... Okay, fine. I have a mild allergy to shellfish, but
honestly, it's light enough that I can technically still
eat small amounts of it. It's just that I suffer a lot
for it. Some of my friends don't actually know I
have an allergy, because I don't like talking about
it. Makes me feel weak."
Faolan wrote wrote:
"Surprisingly, I'm actually not allergic
to anything! Although.. I guess if you were
to include whatever gives you hay fever, I
suppose I'm allergic to that. I always get hay
fever during the summer, and it is the most
annoying thing ever. after a hay fever tablet
I get back to feeling a bit better. Ugh. Summer's
just not my favourite season.. Sorry, getting
off topic here!"

What are your hobbies?

"Anyone who knows me would probably know that I
like... a lot of things, really, though thanks to work
I don't really get to do a lot of them anymore. I
think I'm mostly known for running, though. That's
pretty accurate - it's not my main hobby, but it's
really relaxing! Unlike pretty much everything else,
it doesn't need much thinking. Just moving. I still
jog every couple days, too. Kinda reminds me of
when me and Faolan first met, somehow. Weirdly,
I don't do many other sports. Unless you count track
and field in general, at least. Next, I love watching
plays, especially musicals. Plays feel more... Real,
I guess, than movies and books, and the songs in
musicals are really nice for the most part. A pretty
big hobby of mine is painting. Art in general,
actually - I've done typography and digital stuff
before, though I don't really like either. Doesn't feel
as hands-on, I guess. With paint, you can touch it and
feel the layers, peel it off if you're willing to screw it
up, and it's kinda more... Personal? I don't know how
to describe it, but there's something I feel when I
finish a painting that I don't when doing graphite or
digital or whatever."
Faolan wrote wrote:
"Well, I've got three major hobbies.
Music, sports and reading. Lets start
with music. It's my job, first off, but
I like to spend free time practicing or
sometimes just messing around with
what I've already written/learned, add-
ing twists and turns throughout the piece.
For sports, I mainly like running. I've
always done running, and it's definitely
been a big thing for me since I first became
friends with Nessa. We've always had races
and such like, and the competitive spirit has
stayed with us because of running. Plus, it's
always nice to have something to fall back on
when your plans suddenly get canceled. Then
theres reading. I enjoy it mainly because
I get to see other worlds and different characters.
Although plot and writing style are always big
things to go along with it. I don't have a favorite
author as such, but I've lots of authors I really like.
So yeah.. I don't always have time for them, but
I try to put some time aside each week to spend
doing my hobbies."

What is your strongest talent?

Nessa wrote wrote:
"Pfft. I don't have talents; I have skills. But
really... People. I'm pretty good at handling
people, when I'm consciously trying to be like
that. I can usually figure out what others are
feeling by their body language or voice. Comes
with winding up hiding my feelings a lot, I guess.
I know what makes my friends tick, and some
acquaintances, so I can act differently to be
the kind of person they need. Or want. Not that
I do it often - mostly I just wanna be myself,
unless I'd be fired for that, or something. So
yeah. That's pretty much the only thing that
comes naturally to me - even painting, I spent
hours of practice on before becoming even
close to good. "
Faolan wrote wrote:
"Probably some musical talent.
I'm pretty good when it comes to
writing song, and I can play a few
different instruments, and I suppose
I'm alright at singing.. People compl-
iment me on my singing, but I don't know.
My main instrument is the Piano, although
I always play the drums and the guitar
too. So yeah. My job is to do with
music, so I'd hope I was good at it!
I always write my own music,
as well as the song lyrics, but
it's also really fun to play other peoples
songs and music pieces. "

What's your favourite book?

Nessa wrote wrote:
"I don't read a lot, and when I do, it's just
a casual thing. Don't really have a favourite.
If I absolutely had to choose, though, The
Strange Case of Dr Jekyll And Mr Hyde. I
loved the musical, and I picked up the book
because I figured it'd be similar. And, yeah,
it was great! Didn't think it was as good
as the play, but that's probably because I'm
not much of a literature person, and I'm not
really into the old-timey writing style."
Faolan wrote wrote:
"Well.. Woah.. I don't know actually.
I like so many different books. I don't
know if I can even choose just one!!
Wow.. This is a tough question. I know
that Nessa doesn't read as much as I do,
so I hope that she can answer this for
you instead of me. Haha. Sorry. Maybe
I could just list a few? No? Okay then.
I'll just go with.. Ummmm.. Oh jeez.
Ugh. I'll go with "The trials of Apollo;
The Hidden Oracle" By Rick Riordan.
I really like mythology so like.. yeah."

Do you have any phobias or fears?

Image

Nessa wrote wrote:
"Is 'I am afraid of nothing' an option? If not... Blades.
That's part of why I don't like cooking stuff, in addition to
just being a really bad chef - pretty much every dish ever
involves using a knife. And I can, if I need to, but I really
don't like them. Apart from that, um, being alone or
forgotten. I'm scared in both the existential sense and
the physical. I blame my mother for telling me
all this philosophy stuff."
Faolan wrote wrote:
"Haha.. Ha.. Where to begin. I've
got a list somewhere that I wrote
once, but I won't embarrass myself
with telling you them all. I'll start
with the main two. The first is a
phobia of being abandoned by
everyone I love. Nessa, my mum,
some of my musician friends. The
second one, which is the biggest one,
is a phobia of the dark. Or more so what
I can't see in the dark. My mind plays
cruel tricks on me when I'm in dark places
and over the years it's gotten worse and
worse, but I'm slowly getting better with
it now. Slowly... very slowly. "

Coffee or tea?

Nessa wrote wrote:
"Coffee, by far. My work hours are pretty
irregular, and sometimes I need it just to remain
standing. I don't really like black coffee, though -
the taste absolutely kills me. I actually put obscene
amounts of milk and sweetener in by default. My
father brews tea for me sometimes when I visit, but
I've never really liked it."

Tea or Coffee? Part II

Image

Faolan wrote wrote:"Definitely tea. I'm not a fan of
coffee's taste. I like my tea
from a teabag, strong, and with
only a small bit of milk; no sugar.
I have tea on my desk all the time,
and it's rare to see me without a
cup of tea. Nessa doesn't really
care for tea, so I'm good at making
coffee as well, and I occasionally
have a cup, but with not black,
that's a definite no thank you."
