I became mute after all that happened to me. My life plot wasn't everything, but it was a sad story, and hard for me to express my feelings about.
Our family sat down to eat breakfast. As we were finishing our food, we heard sirens. "Mr. and Mrs. Chiaroscuro!" A man called out.
Mom and Dad were rushing to the door. "Kids! Find cover, hide!"
Matahari & I were confused about what was going on, but we went to hide in the attic. The attic was small and content. It tempted us to leave the house, but we had to listen to our parents because we didn't know what was going on.
"What do you think is going on, Lee?" Matahari shook and made a sudden jolt as she heard more sirens.
"I don't know, but whatever it is, we've gotta find out." My eyes slit as if I was about to act like Sherlock Holmes to solve this mystery. I heard noise coming from the window in the back of the attic, someone had left it open. I sought to find out what it was, so I peered over to that end of the attic.
"Look who we have here, hand over the compass! That is illegal property; do you know what trouble this has you IN?"
I listened to the police officer as Matahari went over to see what I was looking at. As I heard two gun shots, our two parents fell to the cement. I couldn't bear to speak anymore after this; my feelings couldn't be expressed. My parents had helped me through... everything.
I'm in a jail cell right now, for my family's mistakes. Matahari, yeah , she's just across from my cell. But since my parents died, I have to be strong.
Matahari and I are going to test our escape plan. "Check." Matahari answers as I throw a key to her. I'd stolen it earlier, while she distracted the police officer. She unlocks her cell door, and we break the window open with the rock I was saving. I help Matahari up to the window and she jumps out, then helping to pull me up and out the window. Our escape plan worked, but we had to return the heirloom, and prove our innocence. Our parents will never be forgotten.
The sunrise gives us a new chance, a chance to be strong. We need to carry on our parents' legacy. Only then can our destinies be truly fulfilled.
