This was inspired by a number of other CYOAs, namely Arcaii's, and so I've decided to make one myself!

5. Please do not post here unless you have joined or are otherwise allowed to post (ie. You have been given permission by me or are a mod confirming that this does indeed belong in the roleplay boards

Traditionalism in a Warriors fandom context is the name given to a certain style of clan naming that some fans use, so that those fans have a label by which to distinguish themselves.
Traditionalism is a spectrum of naming systems, which means that no two systems are exactly alike. Everyone has their own opinions and preferences, even within traditionalism, and that’s totally okay! However, all traditional systems almost inevitably share certain features. Some of those features include the following:
prefixes are used solely for representing a cat’s appearance (pelt color and/or body size).
suffixes are used to acknowledge a positive skill or personality trait of the cat.
name-change names are given respectfully as acknowledgement of strength and survival abilities.
suffixes are based around the first arc of canon.
realistic or near-realistic settings are preferred and prefixes are typically chosen in regards to the likelihood of being within the particular setting.

an emphasis on developing clan culture and world-building within the setting.
all clan names have meaning and the naming system exists to distinguish each cat and aid in developing a healthy sense of identity, both personal and community.
These features tend to be a consistent theme in all approaches to traditionalism, although there are various interpretations.
There are all sorts of reasons why people use traditionalism. Some people choose to use a traditional naming system because they enjoy the sense of depth and culture a set naming structure gives to the world-building; some people appreciate the practical usage of being able to get a information about a character from their name alone; some people are just tired of Erin Hunter’s silly nonsense and are hungry for something more consistent and sensible.
However, traditionalism is not the only type of naming system around. There are plenty of others out there! To help distinguish between traditionalism and other varieties of system, everything that isn’t traditional is simply referred to as ‘non-traditional’. Naming systems that prioritize sound (flow) instead of structured meaning are often called ‘lyrical’.

The Plot
After his/her clans loses a war and many members to an enemy clan, they are forced into hiding. But when ________paw discovers something odd about all this he/she goes out to investigate and finds themselves in the middle of a much bigger picture that he/she never expected to discover.
The Clans
RainClan
The main clan of the story, this clan lives in a dense, humid forest that often feels very wet, giving them their name
Leader: Honeystar Honeystar is a dark ginger molly with orange eyes and faint tabby stripes. She is caring and very protective, willing to sacrifice every single life for her clanmates and eventually kits. Previous Name: Honeyflower Lives: 4/9
Deputy: Troutstorm A tortoiseshell molly with yellow eyes. She is unpredictable and a little irrational at times, but when she stops to think, she is very clever.
Medicine Cat: Brindleheart A brindle (variation of a tortie) molly with green eyes. She is unafraid to break the code if she feels that she is doing what is right. (ie. A dangerous kit shortage happens so she takes a mate.)
Medicine cat apprentice: Frogpaw A brown tabby tom with black spots and yellow eyes. he is quite small and excels at herbs. Mentor- Brindleheart

Deputy: Tansyfur A golden tom with yellow eyes. He is clever and thoughtful.
Medicine Cat: Batleaf A black she-cat with yellow eyes. She is very attentive and excels with herbs.

Ravencloud A black molly with white paws and golden eyes. She is extremely calm and clever, though is a little stubborn.
Willowfang A grey tom with yellow eyes, he can be aggressive at times but also very calm. Mate- Dawnflower
Kestrelcloud A brown-black tortoiseshell molly with yellow eyes. She is extremely calm and resourceful.
Minnowfoot [i]A grey molly with copper eyes. She is very speedy and intelligent, though lacking patience.
Weaselstream A brown tabby molly with a white underbelly and amber eyes. She is an excellent swimmer and is very close to becoming an elder- chances are if you see a good swimmer in BlazingClan, they were her apprentice.
Eaglestream A brown tabby molly with faint white spotting on her legs. Like her old mentor, Weaselstream, she is an excellent swimmer.
Hailfoot A pale grey, dappled tom with green eyes. He is very speedy, but is a little boastful about this skill.

Otterpaw A dark brown tom with golden eyes. He is an excellent hunter and very humble about this, commonly saying 'I can improve.' Mentor- Hailfoot
Applepaw A dark ginger molly with yellow eyes and faint tabby markings. She is slightly above average in both hunting and fighting, though isn't very good at moving fast, thus slightly better at fighting. Mentor-Minnowfoot
Swiftpaw A black and white tom with yellow eyes. He is considered very handsome. Mentor- Eaglestream
Ashpaw A light grey tabby molly with orange eyes. She is considered quite pretty by clan standards. Mentor- Tiptail

ThornClan lives in the other stretch of forest territory, though it is more overgrown and thorny than RainClan. They were named for the overgrowth and abundance of thorn bushes in their territory.
Leader: Lilystar A white tom with green eyes. He is an excellent tracker, and it is very hard to get over the border without him finding your scent. He has a scar over his left eye and one on his shoulder from a battle over territory. Previous name- Lilynose
Deputy: Sandfang A golden tom with yellow eyes. He is slightly above average in both hunting and fighting, and is an excellent leader and role model, most kits pretend to be his apprentice.
Medicine cat: Rushpelt A brown tabby tom with amber eyes. He is clever and an excellent problem solver.
