Moths? Moths? Don't you mean those cruel, scheming creatures that flap around at night? The ones that lure kits over to them, just so that they can dodge the young cat's paws? Those ones? Blech. It's obvious that I don't like them. As a kit, sure, I tried to hunt them, but please. All kits do. They flit across the moon, making weird shadows everywhere. Their wings make creepy noises in the night. Augh, it doesn't bear thinking of. I've seen moths getting fluids from animal droppings. Really. They'll do the same with rotting fruit- it's so gross.

Duskfall is fascinated by moths. How does such a small creature with no obvious eyes manage to fly so gracefully and precisely in the pitch blackness of night? What are the purposes of their different wing patterns and colors? How do they always manage to evade the paws of eager young kittens? He has no idea, but he's determined to find out. Duskfall has recently started capturing and collecting moths in order to study their behavior, much to the dismay of his friend, who is absolutely terrified of moths (not that she'd ever admit it).
