this has been in the works for a short while now, and i honestly can't thank silver enough for helping me out with this

james and i met online in may of 2013, and the following year, we met in person for the first time-- and it was honestly the beginning of a whole new life for me. i never really believed in love at first sight, but the moment we laid eyes on each other in the airport, upon our very first meeting, i knew i was doomed and i could only hope and pray that he would feel the same way for me. by the end of my very first visit, i was overjoyed to hear he had felt it too in the airport, and it was a breath of fresh air. i never believed i would find my soulmate, but james proved me wrong there. he is my heart and soul, and nothing will change that.

our anniversary was months back, and i was really strapped for cash due to my schooling and bills, so i figured i would do something for him that i was able to. silver very graciously helped me out in this anniversary gift for my soulmate, and we were even able to come up with a fantastic background for these two interesting parents LOL

james, i love you and this is for you, should you wish to accept it. i know you've been very patient for my surprise, but you're going to have to be even more patient-- because i'm cruel, and i'm gonna make you wait through the stages >)

"We have been truly blessed today."

Aquarius hums softly, paws touching the ears of his clan members as he walks through their ranks, admiring how they kneel with muzzles pressed to the dirt. How they follow him blindly, without question. How they worship their chosen deity. How they worship the ground they walk on, their Auwei. How they worship the universe in which they live... and how they worship him. Pride washes over the male as he leans down to catch eyes with one of his followers, paw caressing her maw with a paternal love. Stepping up onto the flat rock which he had claimed as his stage, Aquarius takes a moment to scan his followers. They are unwavering, stock still in their praying position, and the dark male raises his head high to admire the break of stars above them.

"Blessed be, our dawn."

"Blessed be, our dawn." The clan replies, tones monotonous and a melodic contrast to his own baritone.

"Blessed be, our awakening."

"Blessed be, our awakening."

"Blessed be, the Divine."

"Blessed be, the Divine."

Silence befalls the clan, Aquarius shutting his eyes against the first break of daylight - a sliver of pink and orange cuts the horizon, illuminating the velvet night with washes of colour. An elated sigh escapes him, eyes finally opening to fall on his clan once more. After a beat, they all stand, and he smiles delicately toward each of them in turn. "Nahiri's love to you all."

The chorus of 'thank you, Father's echo in the clearing, and the male can't help but part his maw in a toothy grin.

Aquarius had felt he served a greater purpose all his life, yet it wasn't until he began to preach to his friends and family that it really clicked with him. His purpose was to lead others into the path of enlightenment. He was to awaken their minds, introduce them to a better life, filled with the richness of knowledge and worship-- and though he had immediately taken to their Universe and their planet, Aquarius had still felt a void within him. One that no amount of prayer could help fill. Not until a vision took him in his dreams, of a winged entity with swirls and moonlight beams.

The male had never felt more peace in his life, nor had he ever felt such an anxiety bubble in his gut. Though this entity never spoke words to the boy, the message was clearer than day to him. Worship Them. Dedicate your love and your life to Them. Their love would guide you to the path of enlightenment. To your awakening. To your dawn. Thus, the Dawn of Aquarius was born, and they were to love and worship Nahiri. For They will provide the light, the path, the journey. Since that vision, Aquarius had preached Their love to his followers. Their followers. He had spent more time meditating in attempts to converse with Them, to ask for guidance and to ask what will They wish to be done. Over the years, the clan leader had proven his worth and his dedication to Nahiri... and in return, They presented him with a gift.

A gift that would bring their long spoken of prophecy to fruition.

"I have been devoted to Them for many years now," he starts, pacing the flat rock slowly and gazing down on his clan with a proud expression. "And with Nahiri's blessing, I have been presented with a gift. On this day, on this dawn, on this first day of our Age of Rebirth - blessed be, the rebirth."

"Blessed be, the rebirth."

"And in my unwavering devotion, They have found me worthy to entrust in me, a prophecy. A prophecy in which we have spoken of for some time now -- the birth of a child. A child of Nahiri. A child of the devout. This child, They say, will be the salvation we have prayed for. I have gathered us all here this morning, on this dawn, to tell you all that our prayers have been answered!"

His tone is lilted, rising and falling in a melodic song, as he was prone to doing while preaching. It caused everyone to lean forward, hang on his every word, listen intently and agree with excitement-- as they were doing now. Hushed whispers were exchanged between the bodies below, and Aquarius steps to the edge of the flat rock to enunciate far better over their heads. "We have been blessed this day! We have been blessed with the prophet child! I am worthy, and in turn, you are all worthy as well."

There's an uproar then, of the clan members finally piecing everything together. They talk among themselves in excitement as Aquarius motions with his muzzle, to his ambassador. His right hand brings forward from the bushes, a beautiful egg. One that struck awe and pulled gasps from the clan members as it was brought to and placed before Aquarius' paws. The leader leans down, caressing the egg as a protective father would and laying his muzzle atop the egg gently with a purr. The clan immediately drops to do the same, pressing their muzzles flat against the earth as they had before-- some wept with joy, while others could hardly contain their excited grins and whipping tails.

"Blessed be, our dawn."

"Blessed be, our dawn."

"Blessed be, our awakening."

"Blessed be, our awakening."

"Blessed be, the Divine."

"Blessed be, the Divine."

"Blessed be, the Prophet."

"Blessed be, the Prophet. Blessed be, Nahiri. Blessed be, our awakening."

A crackling sound causes Aquarius to pick his head up, curious eyes gazing down at the egg at his paws. It was beginning -- their prayers had been answered. Their salvation was upon them. His breath catches at the wriggling and cracks along the shell of the egg, and he chatters quietly to the being inside; a hushed clacking of his fangs. A bonding experience between himself and his child. He would have much to learn, being the parent of the Prophet child. And in turn, he would have much to teach.

"Thank you," he breathes softly, eyes shut tight to ward off the emotional response bubbling within him. "Blessed be, Nahiri."

i had meant to get a story finished for this hatching, but i didn't have the time due to sickness and work--

however, just know that Aquarius is a very doting and devoted father, and this child is spoiled ROTTEN
