Prompt:
An event that would follow Devon throughout his life and ultimately make him decide what he would do when he grew up, was the time he broke his front paw. Now the details of how this incident don't really matter, you just have to know it included him a rather hyper kit and a tree.

Most his age were terrified of hospitals and whatnot, but Devon was actually mesmerized by the complicated looking machinery in his room. He even started at IV connected to his other arm for almost half an hour. There was also the fact that the nurse who was caring for him didn't mind answering all his questions, which only prided his curiosity further.

At his stay in the hospital he had to share a room with another chokii, although he was a lot younger than him and looked really freaked out by the new environment. Eventually Dev found the way to make this kit calm down, asking the nurse to bring some paper and color pencils for him, also entertaining him with small talk once the doctor came to check him up.

Devon was rather sad to leave the hospital the next day, but after a hug goodbye from the nurse that'd been caring for him and the younger chokii he was ready to go. Ever since he's been aspiring and working hard to get into medical school to graduate with a nursing degree, the wish to help others recover only growing stronger by the day.

Andrew sees other children want to be things like firefighters or doctors when they grow up, but he thinks that his own idea is the best of the best. When he gets older, he wants to grow up to be an eldritch monstrosity! People say it's not possible, but he thinks that they're just jealous that he's taken the greater path in life. This desire to grow up into something he's not has made all of his different outfits for outside wear based off the monsters from H.P Lovecraft, and sometimes he even goes all out, wearing masks with multiple eyes, streamers that attach to his body to look like tentacles, and fake hooves for his back legs. The fake hooves may hurt his back feet, but they sure do look cool when he wears them.

Andrew has never really seen anything else as an option, often thinking that people giving him differing options for a career path are just jealous and unable to understand how radical and awesome being a lovecraftian monster would be. It's even gotten to the point where even the smallest accessories show off his dedication to becoming a monster. His sunglasses have been decorated with fake extra eyes on the lenses, his winter jacket has tentacles attached to it, and even his hats all have fake horns super-glued onto the fabric of the hat. Nothing is safe from his wrath of trying to be a eldritch. But hey, it won't really be a concern... yet.
