shuffling of paws, and then light as the keeper of the tree blinks his bleary eyes, tufts of hair
still tousled from sleep. he sees the pupkiis wrapped in a blanket and he pickets them up
tenderly, the cloth of black and white falling away to reveal their vibrant colors. oh, what
beautiful pups! the keeper glances 'round, but no parents are in sight. these little ones need
hands to care for them around the clock, but todoki's only experience with small creatures is
limited to foliage. there is but one choice, the keeper decides as he scurries back into his hovel.
these babies must be given to helping hands, or paws, to raise them truly right.
