koba seems like a rather cold and harsh kjaku. this is mostly due to him having a very calculating nature and being very straight forward. most of the time he doesn't even mean to be rude, but comes across as such anyway. he usually doesn't understand why the others suddenly get angry or sad at him, which causes him to distance himself from any kind of social environment, fearing to actually hurt someone badly some day. but don't get this the wrong way! he is not a shy kjaku at all, if you get to know him and his habits better, he can be a great friend!

the name koba has no particular meaning, nor is it very popular. It is there, hardly noticable under the thousands of other names, hardly making any impact on other's lives, but it does exist. it's thinking.

koba has no mother, not even a family. as a small child he was left behind at an orphanage by his parents for unknow reasons. no one knows, who his parents were or are - if they are even still alive - since they just laid him down in the grass in front of the orphanage's door, knocked, and ran away. the only thing he had was his orange lovey, that he still owns to this day.

he grew up in the orphanage he was abandoned at. he didn't have any friends and even the nun's rarely had time for him. the only time they really did spend time with him was when they taught him to read and write. because of this constant solitude koba began growing less and less emotional with time, until he ultimately lost the ability to express emotions around other people at most times. this doesn't mean that he can't feel joy or sadness for example, he just has a hard time showing those feelings to others.

time passed and koba grew older and older. because of his incapability to show emotions no one wanted to adopt him. everyone thought koba is a mean child due to him being straight forward about everything and not understanding what he did wrong when he unknowingly insulted someone.
he watched all of the other orphans get adopted over time, one after the other, and his hopes of ever getting a real family faded away more and more. when he asked the nuns why no one wanted him they simply told him that it was his own fault, which made him even more sad than he already was.

without a family and without anyone or anything to live for, koba decided it was time to get things done by himself, so, one night he grabbed his lovey, a bottle of water and a few slices of bread and slipped out of his room to run away from the orphanage. of course he didn't know where he was going, he just ran into random directions. after a few miles of travelling he found a place to sleep. it was a mostly hollow log inside of a small forest, sticking out from underneath a big, flat rock. it was enough for this night to koba, so he climbed inside of the log and tried to get comfortable so he could sleep. he would've never imagined that fallin asleep outside would be so difficult, after all, he had no soft bed he could lay in or a blanket to keep him warm, but this was just one of the many more nights outside that were still waiting for him.

after that koba would travel around and live from what mother nature would supply him with or what he could steal from the salesmen when he was visiting a city. the farmer's fields and animals wouldn't be spared either. he almost got caught a few times but always found a way to escape the situation. this is how he lived till this day.

during his life of constant travelling, koba has wondered about if he'll ever get a mate. does he even want a mate? he just doesn't know. if there's one thing in the world that koba doesn't understand it'll have to be girls. to him, they are just too complicated. one second they want to cuddle, then they suddenly hate you. girls and cats are pretty alike! that's why he's leaning more towards other guys. so, his mate will most likely be a male kjaku. someone who can keep up with his pace and lifestyle and, most importantly, his personality. betrayal is an absolute no-go for koba and if his mate would ever betray him he would probably break up right away and, depending on the situation, the other guy would have to be seriously scared for his life and pray that koba will never find him.

children, another difficult topic. koba doesn't mind children, really. he enjoys watching them play in the fields near their home village, having the happy childhood he never had. having friends, having... parents to watch over them. he still wonders what his parents were like, how they looked like, what their reasons for abandoning him were. every time he looks at children he feels a bitter-sweet sting in his heart. that's why he thinks having any offspring won't be good for him. however, if his mate has the wish of having children one day, it is worth negotiating about it. he just hopes he can provide them with a better life than his own parents could for him.
