Ocean Story [Max 200 words]:
Ugh. 216/200. My apologies. Dx
It was cold, and the wind was throwing the waves against the rocks. The grass whispered among intself in the breeze. The air smelled of seagulls, stale fries, and the ocean. A typical, yet somehow relaxing scent to breathe in. The sun is just setting, lighting up the skies in magnificent hues of pink, purple, gold, and orange. There was a run off, off to the left, where pebbles and larger rocks ran down to the sea, smooth from the years of tumbling against the ocean bottom with the tides.
Off to the right, the tide pools, where tall rocks stood and in the hollows of them, small pools resided, housing small ecosystems. Small fish, crabs, starfish, barnacles, and mussels were the most common finds in these.
And for miles on each side, the sand ran on and on and on.
Arroya finally lifted her delicate paws off the ground and began to walk along the shoreline. She paused for a moment, and wiggled each one of her toes. The tide was coming in, and she felt it lap at her feet. She stopped, feeling the cool water shift the sand underneath her, and for a moment, she closed her eyes, lifted her head toward the sky, and her mind was empty. For just a moment.
