Versem Hounds

Versem hounds are mammals closely related to wolves, but with very distinctive features which set them apart from other existing species. They are agile creatures with the ability to run at very high speeds. Their shoulder 'fluff' includes a small protruding bone structure at the base which ends only approximately 2 inches above the base of their shoulders. This bone leads many to believe that some kind of ancestor to the species had been equipped with full wings, though this is just speculation. It is possible, being that this is a recently discovered species, that some Versem Hounds in the wild do have wings, though considering our current knowledge of the species this would be considered a very rare feature if at all in existence.

VH's favorite relaxing spot: Society's been gone for months now. It's been days since he last saw another living creature. When his lonliness becomes too much, Vulkur heads to the abandoned machinery shop. Cobwebs have started popping up in the corners, and anyone that used to live there is long dead, but there's something about the dusty cogs and gears that puts the male at ease. Perhaps one day he'll try his paw at fiddling with the gadgets there, but for now, he's content to just observe and rest.

trekking across towns, and even nations to receive her services. after the long journey, the injured or sick must climb up steep cliffs and rocky terrain to experience true bliss from the angel of sleep. when they find morphine, no matter what number the patient is,
no matter if they arrive at the end of a long, long line, morphine can always be found in her small, cool cave. with stalagmites hanging down from the top, it is common to see smoke or interesting odors drifting from the mouth of the cave. morphine spends, it seems, her entire day there, preparing medicines and potions, and prescribing remedies. she has grown fond of the cave, and proudly calls it her home. and at the end of the day, morphine knows that she can relax in the far stretches of the cave, away from the crowd.

morphine is not your typical healer. she is not a kind old women who invites you to 'stay the night'. she is a healer that is intent on speed, efficiency, and getting the job done. her potions are not intended to do anything accept heal the exact ailment the patient comes in for. it is very, very rare for morphine to be sweet or kind to a patient, much preferring to quickly move on to the next 'customer'.
