Songrems are an ancient species with a shortened nickname of 'Grems'. These large fluffy creatures use their solid exoskeleton-like jaws to crush and and eat their meals, and are adapt to most living environments. All Songrems have holes in their horns that produce a melody, or a certain song when wind is blown through them. Each song is completely unique though some may be similar and many people keep them as pets to listen to their melodies, but also because of their generally cuddly nature.

Awkward - Humorous - Excitable - Reliable - Dedicated - Emotional - Insensitive - Dorky - Possessive
Michael Dewley, commonly called Mich, is nothing out of the ordinary. If not for a few traits the only Mich could possess together. At first meeting, Mich is pretty awkward. He's snorting a little in laughter at each thing you say, trying to make himself more comfortable probably. He only has one side of his headphone pushed aside, most likely the right side and he's generally pretty tense with everything he does. It's actually quite normal of him; he doesn't really ease up around strangers at first sight. Mich, despite being kind to everyone he meets, he doesn't exactly know how to socialize properly per se. He's honestly as awkward as ever around new people, hence being so tense and almost shy sometimes. Most times, he doesn't intentionally mean to seem scared around you at first meeting; he just doesn't know how to react to new people, or start up a conversation. Unless you're a friend he's had for awhile, he'll struggle with socializing with you.

Undoubtedly, Michael has the worst sense of humor. His jokes are either stupid or too specific to a certain fandom that nobody around him actually gets his jokes; save for two people maybe, at most. Stupid or specific, they still seem to get people to laugh. His key to this is having absolutely no filter on his jokes. This doesn't go to say that Mich makes dirty jokes, he's just honest with what he says with his jokes and the words that come out of his mouth. This is supposed to mean that most times? None of his jokes make any sense to anyone around him, which makes it all funny. Michael thrives off of his own jokes half of the time, usually keeping a conversation going with really bad jabs at something that he finds funny. Mich enjoys making jokes and always feels special hearing others laugh at his jokes, often getting happy at the sight of someone else smiling or laughing due to what he's said or referenced.

The downside to his whole sense of humor? A lot of people question him heavily; his humor makes him seem all the more weird to his peers. Mich usually brushes it off, thankfully. It's hard to get the kid down, especially when it comes to his jokes.

Mich isn't exactly the most concealed when it comes to showing emotion. He can be all over the place if he's excited, jumping around with a certain bright spark in his eyes. Michael is easily excited, whether it be for trips or anything of the such. Mention you have a date? He'll be happy and congratulating you, and, if you're lucky, asking to join you. Jokingly of course, he's just trying to express the idea that he's extremely happy for you. His excitement can be show in a lot of ways, namely a bunch of jumbled words and happy little bouncing on his heels. Many times he'll have a certain happy sparkle in his eyes, just to further show that he's extremely excited. This goes on to say, Michael can be absolutely obnoxious when it comes to him being excited. He gets bubbly and hyperactive and honestly? It can be quite a hassle handling him. No fear though, a simple explanation that he's being absolutely all over the area and he'll make an attempt to calm down a little. No promises, however; most times you'll have to let him live out his excited fits.

Despite Michael seeming like an awkward and yet extremely childish guy, he is actually quite reliable with anything that you need him for. A secret? He'll keep your secret hidden until he dies. Need something done by a certain day? It'll be done in advance. Which, side note, he doesn't endorse cheating or copying but he'll be more than happy to help you with your work. Honors classes pays off in the end for friends. Aside that point, he's a great guy for being counted on; figuratively and literally. Regardless, Mich has always been there for whoever needs him at any time. Why though? Nobody can truly put a finger on it, he's always been naturally reliable to everyone. Truth be told, the way Mich sees it, if he can't make himself important any other way, he'd love to be of assistance to people. He enjoys helping people and it makes him feel a little more important in some place; being a savior or knight to someone regarding help is a great feeling.

Dedication goes a long way for Mich, at least he personally thinks so; so he's as dedicated as possible. His dedication to things ties in with his whole need for being reliable for everyone. Anyway, his dedication runs like canyon rivers in his soul. Deep and consistently. His dedication goes as far as him not resting until something is done or completed, in terms of completing something; say a project, for example. Michael wouldn't mind staying up on nights just to try and get closer to completing his project. Sometimes his amount of dedication to anything can make him scarily stubborn, to the point he refuses to accept any help or opposing view points; if that's applicable. Michael only has good intentions with his burning desire to make sure to be loyal to whoever or whatever, though it can get rather toxic towards himself. Negatives aside, he often doesn't skip a beat in proving his loyalties many times over so it's best to say that though his hardcore devotion to certain things can have negative influences, it's usually a good thing.

If there's anything that is extremely important to Michael, it's emotions. Not necessarily just his own, he pays attention to others emotions as well. Mich has an extraordinary way of feeling emotions deeper than they need to be. Due to this, he can be considered more sensitive to some situations when compared to other people. It's not because he's literally insulted, or maybe it is, but most times it's when he's just able to hear what you say on a whole level above everyone else. He's more vulnerable to taking words more seriously; so yeah, you could say he could be literally insulted whereas another person is brushing off something as a joke. Even with this, he tends to be able to sense others emotions. It's not like he can literally sniff them out; it's something more like he can tell when you're tenser than usual. This doesn't go to say that he'll try to pry for answers, but he can definitely tell when you're acting more awkward than usual. For the most part, at least.

Regardless of Mich's ability to read people, for most part, he still is pretty awkward when it comes to addressing their emotions. It's not like he doesn't care; because he certainly does care, having enough thought to even notice a change in his friend's mood, but he's just bad at showing he cares. He's insensitive, to some degree. Mich never thinks to ask his friend about whats wrong, instead opting to try and cheer his friend up while running in place. Due to this, he can be a bit oblivious to his friend's actual issues and doesn't seem to be any help at all. At least he does everything with a good will? He's sorta trying to work on this aspect of his personality; though, at the same time, he's not too aware of it.

Michael is what a lot of people would consider a dork; all over the place and an absolute mess. He could also probably be considered a nerd, brat, all of those little names. Just to get the point across, he's a lover of many things and isn't afraid to express his personality through his interests. Or his interests through his personality, if that comes to be the case. In the easy way, he likes to talk about his interests extremely passionately and he can get overly excited over it all. He likes the items that are old and not trendy anymore, listens to music from way back when before anyone who's actively popular came around. Really, he's an oldies with a knack for things that genuinely interest him. Due to him having the different interests as his peers, he's labeled as a nerd and whatnot. Speaking honestly, he is all of the above and more; it's not necessarily a bad thing though.

Admittedly, Mich is most prone to getting jealous very quickly, especially over his friends. It's easy to say that he's extremely possessive, even if it's indirectly sometimes. Most times he's just butting into conversations without any regard for anyone and trying to get his voice heard plus face seen. His possession isn't actually just telling someone off flatly, it's more like getting the idea out that he is this person's one and only friend; which probably isn't true, but it's alright. Overall, he's pretty bad when it comes to this and he doesn't like to directly face this head on. He'd rather avoid admitting to being jealous as opposed to actually working things out, which can make it pretty hard to consider him a friend while having an actual social life. Despite him being a bit stubborn, he can start acting like a child whilst arguing you about being jealous that'll reveal all that you need to know.

Overall, Michael is a nice guy with his moments of jealousy, stubbornness and definite awkwardness. He's generally just a teen that loves his instruments and music more than everyone around him. He tends to joke about a lot of things, is dedicated to many fandoms and tends to find himself being the class clown of the group.
