Personality: Romeo is a responsible, hard working stallion, but he wasn't always that way. In his younger days he was reckless and selfish, caring only for himself and giving little thought to the feelings of others. He demanded love but did little to earn it.
By the time his eyes were opened and he saw himself as others saw him, it was too late. Most of his friends had left him and his family were heartbroken. When he saw all the heartache and trouble he had caused he felt guilty and vowed to be selfless instead of selfish, cautious instead of reckless. He wanted to be a good horse, one who deserved to be loved.
Of course, no one ever really 'deserves' love. Love is a gift, to be given in spite of your faults, or even better, because of them. It took Romeo years of searching and learning to figure this out. Through his travels Romeo became much wiser and earned the respect of his new friends, and even managed to reconcile with some of the old.
Now he is gentle, compassionate, and empathetic. He still has his faults and problems, anger issues, self-doubt, some impatience, but now he sees his faults clearly and tries to work past them.
In his heart, Romeo yearns for love. He always had, even in his wild days, but now he understands better what a gift love really is, both to give and receive. Of course, he finds it hard to share his feelings with other horses, especially those of a romantic nature.
Relationships:
Circe has always been patient with him and was always there when he needed to talk. She is very much like a sister to him and he hopes that they will always have a good relationship.
Julietis a sweet but feisty mare. She befriended Romeo when Circe introduced them. She is very lively and vibrant and seems to have an optimistic view about everything. Sometimes they don't agree and they have stopped speaking to each other, but such quarrels seldom last long and once one of them, usually Romeo, makes the first move to fix things they both end up confessing their own faults and putting it behind them. Though they don't always see eye to eye something about Juliet's vibrancy and spirit draw Romeo to her.
