meaning of the name;; So, the original reason I wanted to name them that was because of how the spots look a little like drifting ashes and I wanted the name to sound a little feminine. But out of curiosity, I looked up what it would mean and apparently in Indian "Asha" means "Hope" and in Swahili it means "Life". How perfect, because after a forest burns down, new life and hope grow from the ashes. : )
