Story: Enya is her name and little fire is what she has always been. She was never easy to control, she always made things go the way she wanted them to go, and if she was not the leader she became a little menace. When I fist got a look at her, she was at an auction and had to be held by multiple people. She was the only horse causing a ruckus, the only horse there causing trouble and making a noise like no other. She was rearing up and neighing loudly, kicking and bucking and nipping at the handlers. Due to this temper and behavior of hers, she was not as much as the other horses. Her bid started at 50 meanwhile the others were already up to 200 and 500. Nobody was bidding for this fiery filly. I raised my sign and waited. Nobody was near us to bid on her but I was still afraid and excited I'd fail the bid. "SOLD to the lovely lady right here. Good luck with this one" The man said. I started to load the filly up. She was even worse, almost as if she was trailer shy, or just plain stubborn. "Let's go misses, get in this trailer!" I said firmly and pushed her in, she cantered in, kicking her hind legs in the meantime. I sighed, this was going to be one tough cookie. We got to the farm and I could hear her whinnying and kicking at the trailer as soon as I got out of the car. I parked right in the front of the corral so I would not be knocked over and pulled all around. I opened the door to the trailer and she shot out like a bullet, kicking and galloping around the corral. I shut the corral door quickly and then the trailer door. I got close to the fence and watched Enya trot around the circle and snort as she did so. I hopped over the fence and grabbed her lead rope quickly, running ahead of her and trying to make her go in the direction I wanted her to. But that did not go as planned. She reared up and stomped her hooves against the dirt, and neighed right in my face. "This is not your land anymore. I do NOT care where you came from this is MY home" I said loudly and pulled her lead rope to make her go right. She began to move a little more and eventually began to trot to the right. It went smoothly until she began to gallop and was too fast for me to hang on, and I fell. I was pulled through the dirt yelling and all out of pure frustration and I spooked Enya when I shot up and pulled her lead rope and yelled her name. She tried turning the other way and I pulled her lead rope towards me, making her turn right once again. I stomped my foot down and looked her in the eye "Enya" I said sternly. She stared at me and stayed still, calming down. I let go of her lead rope and grabbed her halter gently. I pet her muzzle and she flinched back once, I tried again and she allowed me to stroke her muzzle. I pulled her with me and made my way to the pasture. She knows for now that I am the boss. But I know for sure riding and tacking her will be a whole new story.
