Songrems are an ancient species with a shortened nickname of 'Grems'. These large fluffy creatures use their solid exoskeleton-like jaws to crush and and eat their meals, and are adapt to most living environments. All Songrems have holes in their horns that produce a melody, or a certain song when wind is blown through them. Each song is completely unique though some may be similar and many people keep them as pets to listen to their melodies, but also because of their generally cuddly nature.

A bottle of fireflies, attached to a string, worn as a neckalace, the bottle is rectangle shaped with curved edges,

Given to her as a gift from her mother, to light her way while going into the forest to pick berries, Yami keeps this to remember her mother, sometimes during blackouts, her roomate Lyric uses it as a light-source if she doesn't have anything else, Lyric once accidentally broke the string and had to get a new string for it, there are dark green and yellow Glow-in-the-Dark beads attached to the string surrounding the bottle as a apology.

Yami has 4 sets of earings for each season, or atleast used to, she tied leaves to her earings for good luck, For summer she had a green leaf tied, for fall she had a orange leaf tied, for winter she had ball of cotton tied to look like a snowball and for spring she had a petal tied, however in a fire, she lost every set to the fire and ashes except for the ones she had on, the summer ones.

Yami has had it for as long as she could remember and she wont get rid of it dispite what lyric tells her, she has meaning to wear it though, it was a symbol to keep on moving and to never give up to her as her mom gave it to her to keep on going, dispite people may think, as her family for generation of been thought as witches, and Yami's mother thought she could stop this for once and for all, and years later, she still wears it.

A mechanical prosthetic tail she designed and built herself.
It's shape is more reminiscent of a lizard's tail than a songrem's and it operates more like how an octopus' tentacle or a monkey's tail would, acting as a useful extra limb in various activities (though she mostly just uses it to hold more tools or materials while she's tinkering with things). Alva is very proud of it, as she put in a lot of research figuring out how to get the prosthetic to move the way she wanted by responding to the muscle movements in her own short tail, and configuring the circuits to do just that was particularly challenging, requiring numerous prototypes before she was satisfied.

A small but powerful headlamp strapped around her forehead.
Alva is rarely seen without it, since she uses it so often she considers it more of a pain to have to search for it after taking it off rather than keeping it on indefinitely. It can be useful outside of her work anyways, especially when making late-night runs to the kitchen to grab a last minute meal.

A slightly worn and very loved tool belt with two multi-level pouches that hang at her sides for the tools of her trade.
The items it holds are: a screwdriver with a set of interchangeable heads of various types and sizes, a pair of needle-nose pliers, a soldering iron and a spool of solder, extra batteries for her headlamp, a handheld voltmeter, a can of compressed air, and lastly (more for fun than necessity) a few pens with conductive ink.

While not an avid fan of the steampunk fashion (Alva finds the overly complicated style of the machinery too unrealistic for her tastes more often than not), she appreciates the creative use of gears in the jewelry.

Songrem Name: Barnard which means bold as a bear, brave bear.
Items: a necklace with a bear pendent made out of birch wood which has "Famille d'ours" burned into it (Famille d'ours means bear family in french), they also wear a necklace that has a bottle with different colored petals for the iris flower
their bear pendent was given to them by their father, where i got the idea for the pendent i thought it would be fitting if their parents had names relating to bears
the bottle was because i wanted to have some type of flower, i was going to make it another pendent just a flower pendent, also the reason i picked the petals being color variations of the iris flower is because it is the national flower for France
