Sweetnose Mastiffs are a large working breed that are guard, hunting, and companion dogs. They require a fair amount of energy, meaning they are not suitable for sitting in a home all day unless the owner expects chewed up furniture. Sweetnose Mastiffs are very affectionate and friendly, although generally intimidating; they are quite intelligent and are eager to please, making them a good pet for those in active lifestyles.

This pretty babe was surrendered after it is owner decided it did not want it anymore- they bought them as a sled dog, but after realizing that this type of dog was not meant for sledding they decided to give it up. As a result, the dog is quite afraid of being very close to other dogs and is afraid of harnesses being put on them; we don't really know what happened, but we assume that in the sled dog attempt they had some really bad and painful experiences. We recommend perhaps a cat companion for if the owner is not home with them all the time. We also recommend that whenever it's snowing outside someone puts some sort of boots on their feet, as it seems to calm them down in some capacity because they are not touching the snow as much.
Otherwise, they're perfectly healthy and have absolutely no other issues- they're very friendly and outgoing as most sweetnoses are, and need a loving home! They still need a lot of exercise and some sort of activity to keep them busy, so maybe you can help them find something they're passionate about.
