Actually, Wen's favorite season isn't quite a season to be exact. It's the clove of seasons. An in-between period of time in which summer hasn't quite turned into autumn yet. A time when the breeze blows with the imperfect combination of cool and warm. A time when the air only begins to linger with the faintest scent of dewdrops, foliage, and earth. Only then will the beginnings of quiet breezes whistle past the leaves and ruffle her hair, bringing about pieces of foliage and twine to braid themselves with her hair. Only then will the colors begin to dull upon the leaves and they are caught between green and the dusky colors of fall. Only then will the day’s sunlight continue to stream through the tree-trunk blinds of the wooded forest . . . all of which remind Wen of photography and polaroid memories. Take a picture, it’ll last longer.
