[Strudel]

During Waylon's travels while trying to track down the Witch of the Mist, he runs into several witches, wizards, and warlocks. When it came to witches and wizards, often times he could speak to them civilly and ask them questions to help him in his travels, however warlocks were a different story. Often times, they were very quick to attack. One of the warlocks wore armor black as coal, with spikes protruding from the back. The warlock claimed nothing could harm him while in that armor-- this was greatly exaggerated as Waylon soon learned. The warlock threw a fireball straight at him, which Waylon deflected easily with his mace. The warlock had not expected the mace to be enchanted to deflect magic, and so by the time he realized his mistake it was too late. He was slain by his own magic. The armor, however, was left mostly intact. Waylon figured it would be a waste to simply leave it there-- it was far better than his own armor and it might be enchanted. And so, he removed the armor from the downed warlock and has dawned it since.
