I posted above, but here is my story:
She had never had fine stuff or happiness. She lived in poverty and wore rags. She fought for her food and lived by 'Tough bests all'. Then, one day, when she was wrestling with some of the others, they ran. She stood confused and looked around her. Then she saw it... It was a large white van with the words "Homeless ANimal Rescue" on it. She tried to run but she was too late. They caught and subdued her, and that was all she remembered when she blacked out.
She woke up in a metal cage with bars that would not give. People came by and inspected her like something they would buy. Her stomach turned over. She was in a... a... a pound! She tried to fight her way out. No success... Then a young girl approached her. It spoke strange words that she could not understood, but she felt pure innocence waver thoward her when the girl reached to her and patted her. Sensing this, she did not attempt to bite the girl, but rather she let her pat her and snuggled close to the hand. The girl jumped up and down and ran to her father excited. She pointed towards me, and then, soon, they took me in a cage, out of the gates and into a moving thing with wheels that obeyed their wills. My new life had begun.
She opened her eyes to find herself in a brightly-lit room with people staring at her. They patted her and tried to calm her. Then they acted like a circus freakshows and began to make strange gestures and called a word as they did. What were they trying to do? Call the wrath of the earth down on them? She inquisitively looked at them and quirked her head. What a strange group. At least she wuld be cared for.
Thenthey approached her and gave her a long, hollow , red plastic thing. She sniffed it. And then nudged it. And then picked it upbefore she began to chew it. She squessed it and a loud noise rebounded across the room. The people glanced at each other and whispered. They smiled and then walked across the room to turn on a fireplace. As warmth pervaded the room she yawned, streched out, and then fell asleep, dreaming peacefully for the first time in weeks.
