Ico is intelligent, cunning, sarcastic and independent. His whole life has shaped him into a proper king, so he retains a lot of his royal traits. He's good at bargaining with his smooth words and often avoids trouble as well as making new enemies. Ico is soft spoken but strong, able to handle himself in a fight using mainly a staff. While he rarely trusts anybody, he approaches most with curiousity and flattering questions. "Wherever did you find this lovely trinket? Surely a face like yours didn't stumble upon it."
While his voice is very monotone, he's very good with expressions to show his feelings. Particularly his eyes with shift and squint as the conversation drags on. He strongly enjoys games of wit, traveling and cactus flowers. He gets along best with merchants, thieves, traders, travelers and peasants. Ico avoids his 'royal' family at best, ducking under the watch of guards, servants and opposing kingdom blood...
History
Ico Gemini Starfall, the third Gemini born in his family and cursed blood. The first Gemini born to the Starfall family caused a Great War between the three desert kingdoms that ruled the Sahara desert at the time. The second was a queen who bore no children, but in her respects was a fair and just mistress to the king. He however, stole a young princess from another kingdom to carry on royal blood. He was cursed to be known as the king of inprisonment. The third was a boy, a young prince born in June; fifteen years since the old king from our last story died.
Ico wasn't anything special at birth nor during his short years in the kingdom. He trained in their basic and adept fighting classes, studied the stars intently as all of his family was to do and attended other basic classed as he grew. At age thirteen, he was mostly taking challengers in the castle training grounds and learning how to be king on the side. Managing trade, ships, navigating the desert, economics and so on. While the Nile offered them spiritual guidance, Ico never really felt prepared for leadership.
For several days he sailed the Nile River and waded in it's waters under the night sky looking for answers to his personal issue. He met a kalon one night, rugged and worn down and quick for the jewels around the prince's neck. It was easy to fend him off, but the words he said seemed exact and planned unlike his movement. After a moment, the two got to talking about the three kingdoms settled along the Nile. It was clear the circle of change hadn't been present for some time... The kings married off their daughters to keep peace and continued to pair with non-royal females to keep the blood from mixing over. Occasionally a prince or princess would marry from India or France, even a Russian princess had been sent over many years before.
Feeling like his blood was only good for passing on, Ico began to ask the kalon about the desert life beyond. Apparently he spent most of his days sleeping while he hunted at night for fish and insects. Apparently the old geezer had been to more than just the desert surrounding the kingdoms though...
Slowly but surely, the prince felt his heart tugging towards adventure rather than pairing for life with someone he didn't love.
