Name: Bella Notte
- Named after the song from Lady and the Tramp, Bella Notte; name means "Beautiful Night."
Nickname:Glory
- Nicknamed Glory by her parents, her nickname means "Glory to God, Happiness." Her parents were so happy at her birth that one wanted to name her Glory - her father insisted she be named after their joy, but her mother refused to go with that idea and insisted they name her something else. The two decided on naming her Bella Notte after her beautiful appearance and chose to call her Glory at home only as a nickname.
Other Names:- Xia
- Dawndrell
- Dysis
- Tabananica
Worshipped by others as a goddess, Bella Notte is called different names for different personality traits and states of emotional being. Her names also change with how devoted a follower is, and what generation that follower grew up in.
- Xia - Means "Glow of the Sunrise" - She is called this by her devoted followers of most generations, except for the eldest generation, which refuses to use this 'new-fangled' term to describe their goddess. This is a proper name, and is used when she is merciful.
- Dawndrell - Means "Sunrise, Dawn" - She is called this by her not-so-devoted followers of any generation. This is not a proper name at all, though she is called this in any instance, save for when she is angry or exhibiting negative emotions.
- Dysis - Means "Sunset" - She is called this by her devoted followers of any generation, though it most popular with the most recent generation. This is a not-so-proper name, and she is usually called this when she is kind or being perceived as powerful.
- Tabananica - Means "Hears the Sunrise" - She is called this by her extremely devoted followers, or those of an older generation. This is her most proper name, and is usually used when talking about her angry side or her more irritated emotional states. This is also the name her enemies use when addressing her - they will never use any name but this one, as it is her oldest and most widely-used name from her most devoted followers.

Brief Personality:Accomplished - Calm - Quiet - Orderly - Truthful - Content - Confident - Questioning - Practical Yet Creative - Adaptable in Certain Situations - Emotionally-Distant - Puts Up a Mask - Puts Others Needs Before Her Own
Personality:Never one to brag about her accomplishments, Bella Notte does her best to keep things on the down-low. No matter how chivalrous or lofty as her aspirations, goals, and achievements may be, you'll never catch her mouthing off about them. She puts others needs far before her own, and doesn't like to voice her own opinions very much.
Quiet and calm, she puts up a mask for most to see. She only shows the real, true Bella Notte to a very privileged few. Her real emotions tend to stay buried, far beneath the surface, as she lives her day-to-day life. She's found it's simply easier to stuff everything down, and then periodically allow herself the luxury of crying or feeling what she really feels about a particular topic...instead of just letting everything out at once and spilling her heart out to every individual who passes her by.
Not one to talk much, Bella Notte is pretty mellow. She doesn't usually introduce herself to a great many individuals, as most are either fascinated or terrified by her appearance. She'd be the first to tell you that having both angel blood and dire blood is no piece of cheesecake - wolves tend to run away from you rather than get close to you. Those that do tend to stay close are those you can trust...and Bella Notte trusts very few.
One for order and tranquility, Bella Notte can't stand chaos. Very much a detailed-oriented individual, Bella Notte can still look at the big picture...so long as the little details are taken care of, and all the messy strings have been snipped or tied. Even though she is very large on being orderly and making sure nothing's a mess, even Bella Notte has to admit that there is some benefit in being able to go with the flow and being adaptable in certain situations, so she does try her best to keep her options open and not so limited as she might personally prefer...at least, in certain situations. She is definitely more practical than creative, and this shows most clearly when she's fighting or planning an attack. When she's just in her everyday life, she's more creative than some would give her credit for, often getting lost in thought or distracted by extreme emotions.
Most of the time, Bella Notte is pretty mellow and neutral in mood. Every now and then, though, she does get horrendous mood swings, and in these times, you'll want to distance yourself very far from her. She'll either lash out at you in anger or smother you with sadness - her mood swings almost always range toward the negative side of the scale, and are rarely pleasant things to have to deal with.
A defender of truth above all else, Bella Notte isn't envious of others in most things in life. She is content and pleased with the life she lives, though she can sometimes be found wondering what would have happened to her personality if her life or upbringing had been different. Trained from childhood to fight battles and win wars, Bella Notte learned to suppress her emotions from a young age, and learned most importantly not to NOT feel, but to SUPPRESS the feelings, only allowing herself to feel them when the proper time arises.
Not one to care about how others perceive her, Bella Notte has gotten used to the stares, glares, and sniggers as she is out and about around normal wolves. She's grown a hardened shell over the years, and no longer cares if anyone dislikes her or likes her. She is who she is, and if other wolves can't accept that, then she'll brush them aside and move forward with her life, ignoring their opinions as disillusioned and not-factual.
Overall, Bella Notte is a clear-cut
INTJ-A. Confident and sure-of-herself, she's never lacking in self-confidence and never one to belittle herself or others. Quick-witted and a good decision-maker, she's nearly always right when it comes to making decisions...but this can occasionally lead her to think too highly of her own opinions. And when others think of you on the status of a goddess, well, this can cause an inflated ego, which Bella Notte does occasionally have. Independent and decisive to a fault, Bella Notte would rather rough it alone than rely on others for help. Hard-working and determined as well as fiercely independent, Bella Notte has a great understanding of work ethic. In her earlier years she may have been more willing to form alliances, but as she's gotten older and had bridges burned over her years of life, she's learned that to be lonely is to be sure that one will never get hurt. She doesn't mind the admirers, but she'd rather not make any more friends or enemies any time soon. So, she'd rather work alone than chance her own emotions getting in the way, muddying up the situation. Overly analytical, sometimes Bella Notte is too smart for her own good - she'll often spend hours trying to put strings of words together to not sound so harsh or arrogant, but she's very rarely successful. This can leave a bad taste in the mouths of others who dislike her, and doesn't help her standing with the public any. Questioning everything, Bella Notte is very willing to change her views if enough evidence is given in support of an opposing position...but getting her to change her views is often equated with having a tiger change its stripes: it's utterly impossible unless she wants to do so.
Relationships:For each of these wolves, the question was asked of them, "What is your relationship with Bella Notte?" Below are their answers.
Abdiel † † † † † The angel smiled, a warm look crossing his features. "Ah, my dearest friend. What would you prefer me to call her - Tabananica? Dawndrell? Xia? Dysis? Bella Notte? I don't mind - whatever makes your life easier." He paused, awaiting a reply. When none was given, he shrugged and continued. "Bella and I go way back. She's my best friend. I don't know what I'd do without her, honestly. She's an absolute joy to be around - her lovely singing voice lights up the room nearly as much as her pearly smile does." He paused, smiling, lost in thought. "Why, I wouldn't be here today without her. Did she ever tell you about the time she saved me? Oh, well, probably not - that seems out of character for her. Bella and I were fighting on the same side - the same team, I suppose you could say. We were outnumbered - about six to one, so not too bad of odds. I've survived a lot worse, let me tell you! Anyways, on this day, my power was running low and I wasn't fighting as well as I normally do. I was starting to buckle and fade - I couldn't have held up much longer than I did. Just when I was about to lose all hope, Bella swooped in there and grabbed me. I'm quite small, for an angel," he said with a pause, allowing himself to really be observed for a few seconds, "and as such, I was an easy catch." He smiled, chuckling to himself before continuing. "If I had it my way, I'd marry her in a heartbeat...y'know, if angels married, that is." He paused once more before getting up. "is that all you needed? I really must be on my way - Bella may get lighter duties nowadays, but I certainly don't! I need to head back to base to pick up my next mission. I'll see you later...but whether you see me, well...that's negotiable." He smiled, winked, and flicked his longest tail before turning around and flying off.
Elizabeth Midford-Phantomhive † † † † † The cream and pink munchkin smiled. "Dawndrell is lovely! Not only is she beautiful, but she's rather nice to boot." She smiled, the glitter in her paint sparkling as much as her eyes. "My husband and she don't seem to get along too well...he calls her something quite odd, as well...something like...Tababiniia? I can't remember." She shrugged, the puzzled look on her features leaving as quickly as it had arrived. Her high voice might have grated on some wolves' nerves, though it obviously didn't annoy her husband. She squeaked out a continued response. "Dawndrell seems to be quite a lovely girl. She doesn't seem mean or nasty to me at all - why, she helped Eobard, Celia, and Elsbeth! When they were in trouble last winter, she was there to help them out of a snowdrift. See, they'd taken a tumble, poor things - Ciel, Sebastian, and I went to this lovely Christmas party, and, oh, the children were bored sick, so I let them outside to play in the snow. The poor dears didn't quite see the snowbank in time to stop in their frolicking, and ran straight into it. Eobard managed to get himself out, my lovely, strong son...but he couldn't pull his sisters out after him! Without Dawndrell's help, my children would have perished in the snow." Elizabeth paused before getting up to leave, throwing one last comment over her shoulder. "But Ciel doesn't know about any of this - and I'd advise you to be mum about it, all right?"
Ciel Phantomhive † † † † † The small munchkin wolf sighed, rubbing his temples. A disgusted look passed over his face. He was careful not to knock off the eye-patch covering his bad eye. "Listen to me closely. Tabananica is against everything I fight for, and she stands to lose an awful lot if she crosses paths with me again. My family has done nothing wrong to her - she has no reason to hate us. Well, I should rephrase, I suppose - my children are safe from her gaze, as is my wife. Myself and my head servant, Sebastian, however...we seem to be a different story." His prim British accent suddenly took on a confused lilt. "As for why she doesn't get along well with me, hm...if I were to speculate - and I do tell you, it would be pure speculation - I would estimate that it was some insult I gave to her in my younger years, when I had not taken on a wife and not had a family of my own." He paused for only a moment before continuing, shifting around the earrings in his ears and flicking the rings on his fingers around - a nervous tick he hadn't given up from his earlier years. "Having a family changes you. It changes your entire perspective on life. I admit I'm not the most loving wolf to be around, nor am I the most compassionate...but having my own children has changed me. If Tabananica is unwilling to see my progress, then I could care less what she does. Whether she soars in the skies or falls down a series of holes in the ground matters not to me. In other words...she's no concern of mine. Now, if that's all, I do have work to do. Good day, Madame."
Sebastian Michaelis † † † † † The pale wolf chuckled with a paw raised to his lips, covering his fangs. "Tabananica? Why, the little snot needs to learn her place in the world." His eye flashed magenta as he lowered his paw. His British accent was thick as he continued his response. "I serve Phantomhive and his household. I'm in direct orders to stay very far away from the wretched soul, and I plan on honoring my agreement with the Phantomhive family. Tabananica is not safe anywhere near me or the household I am sworn to protect." His fangs glinted in the dimming light. "Have I made my position clear enough for you, dear? Or..." He paused, the magic on his tail undulating and sparkling to life like fire. "Or, perhaps I need to clarify, for you, dear?" He stepped forward, a grin of amusement flickering over his features for only a moment. "I suggest you leave my presence if you're in alliance with that fallen soul. I believe I've made myself as clear as crystal, yes?"
Mephistopheles † † † † † The grey wolf seemed appalled that anyone would ask such a question. She tossed her head haughtily. "Oh, please. Like anyone would actually care about that piece of dirt." She scoffed and turned tail, walking off, forcing the interview to follow her closer than anticipated. "As you can tell, we're in Hell. I'm the princess of this place, and Daddy gets me whatever I want. DADDY!" she screamed.
Her father, Livius, glanced over, a disgruntled look on his face as he waved away three demons. "Yes, darling?"
"Could you please get Tabananica's tail for me? I know she has three - I just want one. Thanks, Daddy!" She pranced off, leaving her father shaking his head as he stared after her. He didn't utter a word in response.
How Does She Feel About Her Rare Mutation? As a child, she always knew she was different, but it was more a distant, disconnected understanding that others would make fun of her for her looks and how she appeared. She may have wished it to be different, but once she realized that things would never change, she took the adult mindset and applied it to herself: if others won't accept me for who I am, then I need to be confident in myself so as to not let their words hurt me. To this day, she has a neutral stance on her mutation. She is grateful for the powers that come with it, and the revered status she has because of her paint, so on a very base level, she is pleased she has such a mutation. On a higher plane of intellectualism, however, she has to admit that there are both pros and cons to having such a type of paint. The pros are that she is obviously respected and looked at by most wolves as having god-like powers. The downside is exactly that: if one is revered as a goddess but one is mortal, one is faced with the juxtaposition of those two aspects in one's life. Living the lonely life that Bella Notte does is not one she would quickly wish upon other wolves. She understands that needing someone there for you that you can confide in is an important aspect of life that she simply does not have because of how she is viewed due to her special paint. Overall, she thinks of her paint as a good thing, as it has gotten her very far in life and allowed her many privileges that wolves lower on the scale would never be privy to...but she also counts it as a bad thing, as she will never know how it is to be a "normal" wolf.
Color Palette: Evening EmbersThe Color Story: The wolf soared above the clouds, the lush purples and pinks that lit up the sky at sunset alighting in her eyes, reflecting back golden yellow. She blinked, searching the sky for something, anything...any signs of life. She was looking for a new place to call home, a new place to stay. After the war between her forces and the enemy, she'd saved her only friend, Abdiel. She'd kept him from dying a death more painful than that that the enemy even feared, and had given up something precious to do so: her status as a proper angel. She was fallen, now, a creature none would wish to look upon and bask in the glow of. Her halo had been stripped from her, though she'd been allowed to keep her powers and her wings. Being half dire and half angel had never been an easy thing to swallow, but the wolf had done her best to serve her battalion well. With a glance of her eyes, they alit up golden once more as the setting sun glinted through them. She sighed, knowing her fate was sealed: she was never to see Abdiel again, never to find love in this world, and never to truly be content with her life unless she accepted her current state of affairs. She looked now only for a place to call home, a place where she could start anew, with no previously-held opinions or fates of destiny mapped out before her. Some movement in the corner of her vision made her flip around and glance up. What she saw made her breath catch in her throat.
"Abdiel?" she whispered.
He smiled as he soared beside her. "Put in a good word with the Big Man for you."
"What did He say?"
"You're still an angel. Your powers haven't been revoked, so even though they took your halo, you're still an angel, just like me and just like - "
"You mean it? You're not just playing games?"
Abdiel smiled. "Of course I mean it. I wouldn't be so cruel as to joke about this."
The purple clouds seemed to shine a little brighter. The sunlight glinted off of Abdiel's pink and yellow eyes, turning both into a flaming creamy-orange. Something shined around Abdiel's neck. The female didn't recognize it. "What is that 'round your neck, soldier? Dog-tags?"
Abdiel shook his head, a smirk playing on his lips. "Those are far-outdated, and you know it! No, this is a gift for you." He pulled off one necklace, leaving one behind. He placed the dark purple star around his friend's neck. "I have one that matches, see?"
She glanced down at the glowing pendant and smiled. "This feels like - "
"Yeah, it's real." He bashfully smiled. "Only the best for my best friend, right?"
Silence stretched between them. After what seemed an eternity with the sun slowly sinking below the horizon, Abdiel asked his final question. "Where will you go now?"
"I don't know."
"I mean, well, do you have to g- "
"Yes," she interjected, putting a stop to his train of thought instantaneously. "The Big Man may not think my actions necessary of reproach, but I personally will not stand for injustice. And how I conducted myself today was mistaken."
Abdiel placed a paw on her shoulder, as gentle as if he were picking a daisy. "You acted in the heat of battle, in the heat of the moment. Would you not expect anyone to act the same way, Bella-"
"YOU did not act that way."
Abdiel was silent.
"So you do not disagree? I see we have come to an impasse, then."
He nodded. "We can still be friends, you know. A difference in action does not mean a difference in heartfelt intentions."
"Only I know my own intentions. Do not forget so soon, Abdiel - your power does not allow you to see into others thoughts." She was stone-faced as she spoke, glancing about in the growing darkness for some spark of orange sunlight.
He sighed, rubbing a paw through his purple hair. "Fine, then. I will take my leave of you, heart broken. Is that truly how you wish our relationship to -"
"Our relationship never started."
He licked his lips, nodded, and turned to fly back. Before setting off, he threw one last comment over his shoulder. "No matter about the relationship, then. We made a pact, Bella. We are friends, and we will remain as such until the day we both shall die. I shall not soon forget that promise, and I pray that you do not neglect to remember it anytime soon."
And with that, the light started to die, leaving the female wolf alone as she soared onward, finally finding a cloud thick enough to hold her weight. She fell asleep with the final flash of golden light as the sun sunk fully below the horizon.
