What are Nile River Equids?

Nile River Equids (NREs) are a sub-breed of Mustangs who were discovered to be living in Africa. They tend to range anywhere from 12 hh to 16 hh, while there have been known to be slightly smaller or larger. These horses tend to be able to sustain themselves on a minimal amount of water and food, they can travel long distances and have extraordinary stamina. The people who discovered these animals found that they were extraordinarily friendly and the braided tails are a sign that the NRE is domesticated or belongs to another person.

Why are they blind?: Born with a genetic disease, Faith lost her sight as she grew up. At first it didnt effect her much, but then it was so bad by the age of 4yrs that she started to spook at the ghostly figures she saw. It was then that her owners decided to have her site surgically removed since that was the only issue with her. They didnt want to end her life just because she was going blind because she was a wonderful horse and broodmare. To help her adjust to life without her eyes, her pasture has boards lining the fence so that she can still gallop to her heart's content. With the help of her owners, she quickly learned that when she felt the boards beneath her hooves, she had to stop or change direction. Despite becoming blind due to her genetic disease, Faith certainly lives up to her name.

Why are they blind?: When She was a foal Her mother and her went on a walk together without Permission from the stallion and while they were walking a mountain lion which were Magical and were glowing with their Evil powers. The Male slashed out and Pearl ran. Her mother was kicking the male and Pearl's mother got was knocked out after fighting more. The mountain lions walked away satisfied with the fight. The thought the mother was dead but Pearl knew she wasn't. In the fight the got slashed in the eyes. They went home and they bumped into a lot of trees. Lol
