- Name ;; Udon, (showname pending)
Gender ;; Male
Job ;; Schutzhund
Personality ;; When brought into the shelter, Udon was stubborn and aggressive with suspected anxiety issues. He was incredibly stubborn and did not want to be separated from the Utonagan he had grown up with, but eventually was able to go to a home that could take care of him. While retaining his stubbornness and mischievous nature, Udon began to be more affectionate and almost catlike as he jumped into the laps of his owners and got into trouble for the attention. He is easily bored and therefore needs many things to keep him occupied, and is incredibly intelligent. While his energy levels are moderate, as long as he is being given some sort of attention he's calm.
Udon particularly likes to please, and after a while became attached to his family. In order to help keep him in good shape and harness his aggressiveness, he was entered in Schutzhund training; a dog sport originally used to assess German shepherds for various types of police work.
In respect to other dogs, he is liable to growl and act hostile when his owner is not around. He has to be commanded to 'stand down' and not act in such a manner; however, if his owner is not around Udon is cautious but friendly. He loves to play and enjoys the company of other dogs once he is familiar with them or does not deem them any sort of threat.
