One look at Haddee's intricate face markings and it's no surprise what he wore for Halloween. His owners took hours to paint the remainder of his body white like the skeletal system just inches beneath his pelt, and took great care to reference their work to the biology books they'd hauled out with the paint. He was ridden by a woman dressed all in black that carried a scythe, and reared on command when she urged him to it so that her cloak might flap in the motion and the white of his painted bones gleam. He made an incredible sight for the trick-or-treaters who braved the long driveway to the ranchhouse.

Although his appearance may be a bit scary, Onyx is a big softie. He loves kids, and can be the most gentle horse you've ever met. Sure, he has times where he gets a little rowdy, but that doesn't stop him from being well-mannered.
Because of his personality, something spooky just didn't fit! (Especially when he already looks spooky, hehehe) So, this year, we decided to dress him up as Harry Potter! Onyx, being the cute horse he is, won the costume competition at saltaire, and was also pampered with treats, all from his adoring fans (the lesson kids). It was an amazing Halloween, and Onyx loved it.
