Tails?? Magic??? Items??????? What IS this convoluted breeding system?
Woah okay I promise it's not as weird as it seems. Let me explain the process real fast,
Step 1: Get your pair, if your couple involves a Squitsune that does not belong to you, you need something proving you have permission to do the breeding. Don't double post forms from the both of you, that's spammish.
Step 2: Figure out what kind of item was placed on the tails. Now in the big long species description it was said that it was an item of significance. What that means is up to you! It could be a best friend bracelet from the pair or it could be symbolic. An exchange about this may look like this:My Squitsune thinks being lucky is really important, why don't we put dice on the tail?
My Squitsune thinks being warm and caring is important, why not a stuffed toy?
How about we put a die plush or maybe some fuzzy dice?
A die plush would be perfect!
Sometimes items can affect looks but you shouldn't pick items solely for their aesthetic. This is meant to be a somewhat fun look into what your squitsunes are like!
Step 3: All that's left to do is fill out the form, check it over, and then post it to the nursery thread. Make sure you only do it once and once it's been taken and the kits bred to mark the top with a big and bolded "Filled"What if I don't want one or more of my kits? What do I do?
There are three different ways to go about adopting out kits you're not keeping,
1) You run an adoption contest right there on the post or on a post with just the kit. You're the judge and you decide the parameters and etc., make sure to notify me if of winners when they're announced.
2) You ask the staff to run the contest for you, someone will pick it up and run the contest on a page just for the kit. They decide the contest and what-not.
3) You mark them as FCFS (First Come First Serve) and the first person to post a claim of a number, name, and pronouns gets the kit. (One kit per person via this method.)
Just throw what you want to do in with the usual fates and the kit will get homed!Am I allowed to see my rolling sheet?
Sure! Just ask and I can send you all the numbers rolled for your breeding. What DO dice gummies do?
So if you look at the rolling guide you'll see that there are ranges of numbers that decide things! Here's one for example:●d10 - Uncommon traits: 1-3 the trait is lost. 4-7 keeps it. 8-9 it can be switched out with another uncommon trait. 10 a rare trait takes its place.
So lets say I roll this and your kit gets a 3, they lost the trait! What a shame, but! If you give me a Dice Gummy on your form I'll add one point, making it a 4 and keeping the trait!
You can only use up to two gummies in a breeding and they only work on one category of roll, but they will work for all the kits you have! Both gummies can also be used on one stat for a +2. There isn't a benefit for going over the max and the gummies have to be supplied on the form and can't be added later.
So if you give it to me and say you want it used for parent 1's heart pupils it'll work out like this:Kit 1: 2 + 1 = 3, No trait
Kit 2: 3 + 1 = 4, trait stays
Kit 3: 8 + 1 = 9, it's a rare trait now
Kit 4: 9 + 1 = 9, it's already maxed, it still only becomes a rare trait.Well then are there rules?
Everything has rules mysterious voice, look below for those and the form.
☁ A Squitsune can only breed 7 times safely, they can breed an additional 2 times at risk of being blanked out.
☁ Squitsunes can only breed with tails they have. A new tail can grow in every 3 weeks, this is our cool down. So if you want to let all your tails grow in and spend them at once that's your choice.
☁ Squitsune can be any gender/orientation/relationship status.
☁ Incestual and kit/adult pairings are prohibited.
☁ One breeding can have between 1-4 kits. Weird traits are rolled for using online dice. (A guide to that will be below)
☁ Do not beg for other people's kits or pressure them into giving up multiples. That's just rude.
☁ Make sure to PM me fates so I can get everyone on their respective archive.
