In my eyes wrote:I looked around, eyes the food infront of me. "U-Uhm waitress?" I murmured eyes darting around the room. Now this was awkward. My rowdy friends where swinging there drinks in the air, laughing at something on the tv that flickered above my head.
I hesitantly called for the waitress again, "U-Uhm M-miss?" I said a bit louder this time.
Her attention flickered over to me , and she shuffled forward, waiting for me to say something .
"I-I , You put cheese on my burger.." I told her pointing a claw at the plate infront of me.
As she spoke I flinched, expecting some retort or defense.
"Of course! I apologize , let me get that fixed up for you, on the house as well!" She smiled , and I grinned back slightly, my eyes apologetic.
Soon the waiter came back, one hand carrying my dish, and the other with a basket of fries, which she set on the table first. I unrolled my napkin and draped it across the my lap, thanking her for her kindness.
As soon as she left, my friend Kayto pulling up a chair next to mine. She gently picked out a fry from the basket.
We both continued to eat, ignoring our friends that where now raging about the football game on the glowing screen about over flicking ears . We talked about things we did that day, what we would do in our future, and about other subjects like school. Soon my mum texted for me to come home, and I gently slipped the 20 dollar bill from my pocket, using it as a tip .
I slipped onto my bike, checking the time which read 7:28 and headed for home, stomach full and satisfied.
