jace was born blind. he never even knew what it was to see. it didn't hurt. he fell in love with the idea that he could finally be loveable, finally be enough, finally be worth someone's time. the dream didn't hurt because there was nothing underneath to tell him that his brother was better, or that his sister was first, or some other crap like that. his dream was pure and good and it didn't hurt. he felt love and best of all, he felt like he finally wasn't a burden anymore.
