Gender: Mare
Song:
Ease by Troye Sivan
Why is this their song: Just days after Lullaby was born, her mother passed away. Though her owners were able to keep her physically healthy, her mental health was another story. The other mares refused to accept her as their foal, so she was often left alone, feeling nervous and afraid. A few months later when the summer came around, a teenage girl came to the barn to start her summer job which was cleaning the property's stalls and feeding the horses. When she noticed the filly, she couldn't bare just leaving her all alone. From that day on, she made sure to spend at least an hour a day with Lullaby after she finished doing her work. The girl would sit beside the foal, often singing to her. Though the songs were typically just random songs that she knew the words to and liked, her soft voice soothed the foal, who would sometimes even fall asleep to the melodies. The song is all about trying to feel at ease, and how it can be tough to do with life's struggles. Sometimes you can't do it on your own and need a bit of help from others. Lullaby never had the easiest life in her early years, but the teen being there for her, by her side when things were rough, made all the difference, and finally allowed her to feel at ease like she yearned to after being deprived of the feeling for so long.
